>> But the antiwar forces, who have had to contend from the start with the widespread belief that their position is unpatriotic and unsupportive of American troops engaged in deadly combat, must now bear the additional burden of arguing with success<<

This quote from "Iraq's ambassador to the UN" really ticks me off. If he represents Saddam, he should be ordered out of the United States immediately or face arrest.

At least for the moment, the political planets seem to be sliding into alignment for President Bush

You can bet it hurts the Slimes leftist editors to publish anything complimentary about W. Lets move on they will say, and now we can write about how W may lose the peace having won the war. It wont be long.

Since there's no more Hussein "government", the credentials of the Iraqi ambassador to the United Nations should be pulled immediately.

Just who is he "representing" now, toppled statues of his fallen master?

This ugly little weasel is using up too much New York City oxygen. His diplomatic immunity should be revoked and he should be arrested and held for complicity in war crimes.

First he should be made to pay all his parking fines.

an American tank fired on a Baghdad hotel where foreign journalists are staying... important decisions must often be made quickly, in the field, by junior officers, and they can have far-reaching effects on public attitudes across the world, stretching beyond the purely military context.

You wish, Apple. Things are moving so fast, with history being made almost every hour, that in a week no one will even remember that this happened. You just think it's important, because it involved journalists. The rest of us doubt that the Sun rises and sets on you jerks.

They found a Children's Prison yesterday, R.W. Some of those kids had been in there for five years, to keep their parents under control. And you think it's Earth-shattering that a couple of journalists got whacked. Where were you when all this was going on? Bad-mouthing Bush, bad-mouthing the military, telling us about the Super Duper Special Elite Republican Guards, who were going to show up any minute to kick our butts. Screw you, Apple, and the horse you rode in on.

This is the journalistic equivalent of passing a kidney stone.

For once, the English language seemed his ally rather than his worst enemy.

NYT agenda, loud and clear.
