Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A brief description of what the graphic is would help! If you post graphics, please "size" them so that our browsers continue to load the rest of the thread!

To all who helped this get started and keep it running, thank you!
Special thanks to Null and Void for keeping these threads running on the weekends, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, Ragtime Cowgirl for her Exclusive Live Transcription Service, Fledermaus for his 15 minutes of fame, and, of course, Belly Girl...
I've also made the point to my liberal "friends" that it was X42 the Sink Emperor who decimated our military, and talked big about getting Saddam Hussein out of power, but did virtually nothing when the UNscom inspectors were kicked out in 1998, and did nothing in the face of mounting terrorism against us.
You already made him a quilt? You are fast! Does it have li'l doggies on it? How are you containing all this good news? (^:
That would be too much even for the DC press idiots. She would be kicked out like she was from the Liberty Lobby.

HERE is the link to the Star Tribune.
First they have a poll asking where you got your war coverage....broadcast TV, cable, internet, other? I didn't copy results for you, but broadcast networks,ABC et al, got 1%! LOL!
While you're there, they also have a great Photo Gallery, like this:
Marine Staff Sgt. enjoys a cigar in Baghdad square before statue behind him was toppled.
(Hubba, hubba!)
I may go after lunch.
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
My pleasure. Thanks for the compliment. I wish I had started doing that on Day 1. The aggregated summaries would be a good way to review the war -- it's easier to find timely links when the action is going on, than it is to go back and perform "heavy lifting" research. Oh well. At least the last three days have that. I have an out-of town assignment tomorrow, so won't be able to contribute during the day.
Nam Vet
I get that all the time. Seriously, people will walk up to me and start talking like we have known each other our whole lives. I have no clue who they are. People wave at me, say, "Hi, {fill in whatever name}!" and it's never my name. I guess I just have one of those faces.
Correction...I meant to write "on your profile page"
