But things are changing and, as the days pass, minds are changing too.
A captured Iraqi colonel being held in one of the hangars listened in astonishment as his information minister praised Republican Guard soldiers for recapturing the airport.
He looked at his captors and, as he realised that what he had heard was palpably untrue, his eye filled with tears. Turning to a translator, he asked: "How long have they been lying like this?"

You don't expect truth from a delusional gigolo. His god is created in his image.

Yes, as a matter of fact, YOUR
Minister of Information has even agreed to become the new head of the DNC!Democrats have been waiting for someone like him!
They've been hoping for a man who understands them...someone they can look up to--similar to their president, Clinton. --A man whose abilities to lie, far out weigh those of the common man.

Oh, that's ok Colonel, the Democrats pull the same S*it in our country. The more this goes on, the more I can't help noticing that your average Arab behaves exactly like your average Democrat in almost every way.

THe world of isolation of these people, even or especially a colonel in the army, is something we can't fathom. Think of the Soviet officers and military men- totally isolated from any other source of information their entire lives- who were told their army could smash any opponent. Think of their world collapsing when the Germans invaded and destoryed entire armies almost without casulaties in the first few weeks. This Iraqi colonel (a rank most likely more equivelent to a captian in our army as these regimes tend to exxagerate ranks) most likely believed everything that had been said to him by this regime since he was born or at least of age to understand things.

"Only the martyr brigade from Eygpt, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, etc. actually seem to want to fight along with fayadeen." I'd be willing to bet most of the fayadeen, or what ever the hell you call them, are comprimised mostly of the aforementioned.
Was listening to Greta and Ollie North tonight, and Ollie pretty much said just that.
Most of the black-clad fedayeen are composed of jordanian, egyptian, syrian, saudi, palestinian, etc...
They are doing us, and the world, a favor....
They are coming to Iraq to be killed..
So nice of them to gather all in one place so we can rid this planet of the rotten little b*****ds.

The world didn't care! You think the Iraqi soldier knew jack about resolutions? No.. they knew about sanctions, and they knew that the world didn't care what they did.
God have mercy on our souls for abandoning these poor people to the UN for 12 long bloody years.

Only the martyr brigade from Eygpt, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, etc. actually seem to want to fight along with fayadeen. That makes it nice and tidy, doesn't it? All in one place, no need for any more deployments.

"How in the name of Jesse James' ghost is a Colonel not going to know about the dirty rotten lies spewed out of Ba'ath Party HQ???!!!"The similarities to Nazi Germany are profound."I didn't know this was happening."
