If you point one of these (combat camera)...

. . . at 1/2 mile you might look like one of these in a thermal sight (shoulder fired anti-tank rocket).

If you assume the risk, you must assume the consequences.
The tank crew didn't target a Cameraman. They saw a percieved threat and killed it.
Damn good shot if you ask me.

Will somebody please give a shoulder held camera to that moron at Centcom from Sky News and send his butt to Baghdad?

To assist the PRESS in finding out how it feels to be on the recieving end of US might. An added benifit is that they can report on the accuracy better if they watch the rounds coming at them. It is my understanding that at least one of them remained unimpressed, but the others grated the shot between 7.5 to 9.

If it was less than a 1000 yards, I'm not impressed. Unless it was a head shot.

Please issue these cameras to all the newsmen at national public radio.

I'd say send them home unless the press can guarantee the safety of our troops.

Notice the sandbagged sniper's nest on the roof of the building in the background -- there were snipers everywhere in the area.

Interesting point... Thanks.

"after the Al-Jazeera office was hit.....Iraqi television went off the air. Hmmmm."
Is this true? Or sarcasm? :) That's quite an interesting connection if it is true.

My pleasure. Regards.
