FWIW, it's of crucial importance that they take out Ali Hassan Majeed because 'Chemical Ali' is the sort of figure a future guerrilla movement could get structured around. Hopefully they got him in this strike, but if not, I suspect there will be exceedingly few places for him to hide in Iraq once we effectively pacify the nation. Still, the greater concern is that he or one of these other Ba'ath leadership figures may escape and coordinate a resistence movement from elsewhere. I don't think anyone would really care too much what happens to 'Chemical Ali' and his evil comrades were it not for that possibility.
