The bombs used were 2,000 bunker buster bombs -- 4 of them dropped from a B-1.
The 5000 pound bomb is not used to bust bunkers and not used in a residential area.
Fox may be reporting they are 5000 pound bombs but they are 2000 pound bombs. The B-1 was loaded with four bunker busting 2000 pound bombs.

Maybe because Andrea Mitchell is the one who got the scoop. Andrea Mitchell is pretty good...whenever I've seen her, she's always been very articulate and thorough. Does that include her coverage of the Juanita Broddrick story?

Personally, I think they were taken out the first night. This is just the icing on the cake. They'll sweep up enough ashes to do DNA testing and prove that they're gone.

Getting back to reality, if the AF B-2 really did drop 4 5,000 lb.`bombs, this is very unusual. That's obviously not a standard munition. Were B-2s left loitering around in the sky, "loaded for bear" and hoping for a chance to target Saddam? If so, they were probably based at Diego Garcia rather than Whiteman AFB.

BTW, this morning I completely eliminated the Hamandeggs Division...
