I think I'll wait for someone at least as reliable as Debka [cough] before believing this.

"Iraqi Official Says Saddam Left Baghdad"

I think more than that has happened. I think he is dead and has assumed cave temperature.

Sounds like a load of manure to me. I am going with the Army intelligence, I think Saddam is still in hiding in those tunnels.

As if that walk-about was even real. Everyone was wearing jackets in 100 degree temps, and the trees had no leaves. Pure BS. Also, it was the Iraqi dis-information minister who started the whole "a farmer shot down an apache" knowing full well they already had a pre recording of Saddam mentioning it. Pure BS that the addle brained news folks eat up with a spoon. Heaven forbid their teleprompter goes out and they actually have to think.

Actually Whitley Gilbert ADifferentWorld.com confirmed that Saddam has been given refuge at Hillman College by Douglas Wilder.

If he has fled and turns up somewhere, I wonder how the average Iraqi Arab will feel. They sacrificed while he ran away with the money. Some martyr. Perhaps they wont mind if we stick around then. If he is there he'll eventually begin to stink and someone will point it out.

IMO, Tikrit will be the final battle and this was fairly predictable. If he is anywhere, Tikrit is it. Saddam is too poison for most countries to hold but he could find refuge in France, Russia, or North Korea. Otherwise, we'll go in and get him.

What I'd like to see is the webcam view into that room full of Saddam look-a-likes pooping bricks and wondering aloud about why they chose their job. Sort of like an Elvis impersonator convention gone horribly bad.

If he truly has left, it was probably with that Russian delegation on it's way to Syria.

Saddam has told his bodyguards to shoot him if he's about to be captured.

Bump.
