The rumor is that Baghdad Bob and a lot of the Iraq TV equipment moved into the same hotel (since it is safe) after the Ministry of Information suffered from large steel termites. So to answer the question - yep, they probably see Bob in the bar. Whether Bob is actually drinking booze is another question, but it might be his best course right about now.

You are right about the vests. I've seen them put the vests on just before their live reports several times.
