Written/published in 1995, this article relates to the February 26, 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. It was a compelling read when published ~ read from a post Sept. 11th perspective it is especially chilling and sobering.

I don't care if I get flamed but to me Iraq was behind both WTC, OBL was involved as well. We got our revenge. OBL is still possibly out there, maybe Saddam is still alive....BUT we have demonstrated to them, and all the folowing terrorists and wannabes that WE will come after them. We came, we saw, we triumphed. And we will again if we feel threatened from any terrorist sponsored country.

I'm glad to be an American right now, even though we lose our brave soldiers, have restictions and high security, its better this way than having a wishy washy leader of our country more interested in getting an under desk "wash" job.

I agree completely, Iraq was behind it, the anthrax too. But can/will Bush go public with it, that is the question.

1. Clinton didn't want to start WW4. Too bad for the polls ya know.

2. If the American public really "knew" the truth. The call for massive retaliation or retaliation ala Noo-cle-err would be so large and so strong that had nothing happened, Clinton and most democrats would have been voted out in 96.


Personally I think Iraq had a strong hand in 9-11. Even now. The reason we will never be told is the same as #2. But instead of turning the middle east into a radiological disaster area we are liberating it.

Should our efforts in Iraq fail to promote liberty and hope for the ignorant masses of the ME, our next response to such an attack will be the annhilation of regimes where we will not afford thier public such protection as they now recieve.

It will take successive administrations to fight this war. I can only hope that no democrats get back in charge, or we are surely doomed to more 9-11's.

The support was fleeting because the economy tanked because Bush Sr was talked into tax increases by the democrats, and because we left Saddam in power. Neither of which will happen this time. W is Ronald and Barbara's son.

The day after 9/11, I found this same article by Laurie Mylorie on the Internet and became convinced after the first reading -- that Iraq was behind the 9/11 attack, finishing off what was attempted in 1993.

It is unclear to me why our government doesn't pound this home to the public but I guess it is a political thing.

If they did that, we'd have zero room for maneuver should a cornered Saddam offer to take exile and, whatever we would like to believe, that option is always on the table, and has to be because he has those weapons of mass destructrion. Those weapons are his lifeline and they aren't going to magically disappear.
