My favorite is the Iraqis knocking down Saddam's statue in Karbala. So close to Baghdad.

If they tried that a month ago, they would have been executed instantly.

I think we will take over Iraqi TV when we are in full control of Iraq...if you think about it, it makes perfect sense for "Baghdad Bob" to keep on spewing his misinformation over the air, as Coalition troops drive through downtown Baghdad. This way the people can quickly see the lies their government is telling them and compare it to the obvious truth of the coalition forces they can see with their own eyes. This only encourages them to trust the US more and the Iraqi government less.

indymedia has immediate censors there, that's why it takes so long to publish anything. They have people hooked up to computers so that anything they don't approve of won't be published.

If it's too inflammatory it won't be published at all. If it's just a tinge inflammatory it will be published under hidden posts.

The most important minds are those of the bright eyed and smiling boys who in 5 or 6 years will have the opportunity to begin acting on rememberances of how their lives changed. Older minds may not change much, but the pleasure of growing up without fear will be savored.
