Senator Clinton Confronted by Anti-War Protester
CNSNews.Com ^ | 4/3/03 | Jeff Johnson

Capitol Hill (CNSNews.com) - Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) was confronted by an anti-war protester Thursday after an outdoor press conference promoting additional federal spending for local first responders. No one was injured in the incident.

The unidentified white male approached Clinton as she was speaking to reporters about the amendment she has cosponsored with Senators Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) to add $3 billion in aid to local governments as part of the president's emergency supplemental appropriations request.

"Senator, please look at my baby. There are babies in Iraq just like mine that are dying. I wish you could do something to stop it," the man said. "This is a terrible thing that's happening, and young people - too young to drink - our own American kids are dying, and I really wish you could do something to stop it."

Numerous security personnel from the United States Secret Service, the U.S. Capitol Police and other agencies, present to protect various officials who had spoken at the press conference, looked on as the exchange took place.

"Hopefully, we're going to have a decisive victory as soon as possible," Clinton responded. "And that will be a very good thing for the Iraqi people and their children."

Secret Service agents - assigned to protect Clinton as the wife of a former U.S. president - did not intervene in the confrontation or detain the man, who made no threats or threatening gestures. After addressing Clinton, he walked away, pushing his child in a stroller without speaking to any of the other elected officials present, including Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D).

Capitol Police Respond to Bomb Scare

In an unrelated incident, U.S. Capitol Police responded to a report of a potential bomb in a vehicle outside Washington's Union Station during the morning rush hour. Union Station is located across the street from the U.S. Capitol complex.

Amtrak Police received a report of a "suspicious Middle Eastern male" in a vehicle illegally parked outside Union Station, which is frequently used by lawmakers traveling to and from the northeast by train. When police officers arrived to question the man, they found that the vehicle had been abandoned.

An Amtrak Police K-9 was brought in to investigate the vehicle and "alerted" twice that an explosive or combustible substance might be present. Buildings in the immediate area were evacuated, and commuter trains approaching Washington from Virginia and Maryland were halted, forcing hundreds of commuters to find alternative transportation.

The Capitol Police Hazardous Device Unit (HDU) was called in to conduct a more thorough search of the vehicle. Before officers from the HDU began their search, the owner of the vehicle was located and agreed to let officers inspect it.

No bomb or other contraband was found. The evacuated portion of Union Station and surrounding buildings were reopened after an approximately two-hour disruption in the morning commute. Police did not indicate whether the man was charged for illegal parking or abandoning his vehicle in a "security zone."

So she didn't order her chauffeur to run the guy down?

I hope this guy doesn't have any plans to take an airplane trip anytime soon.

IMO A set-up 'confrontation' in the street.

Yep, smells of burning Reichstag to me too.

Hillary is so slick I see it as Hillary agreeing with the protester's views, to a tee, and getting them said outright ALL AWHILE Hillary covers her political (future Presedential candidate) a$$ with the one sentenced comment.

Naaaaaaa, Hillary wishes no harm to the protester she agrees with his views. Please tell me Hillary's sudden propaganda of a pro-war stance is so good folks are buying it!

This was done on the same soundstage we are using to make, "Takeover of Baghdad International Airport". Notice how Sen. Clinton and all the other characters in the story are almost lifelike.

I smell a setup. Anytime there's a camera around Hillary, it's a staged event. Hillary wants to criticize the Bush war effort, so she does it using the protester. Wouldn't want to get her hands dirty.

The Dimrats are in panic mode trying to figure out how they will prove minorities are dying in unfair ratios and then how they can switch their stories from "Bush is a war-mongering child killer" to "We have always supported Bush in this war on terror" - quite an act.

Hollyweed has produced some fine (sic) polititians.

They made it sound like someone attacked Hitlery when actually all they did was make a comment.

LOL! Maybe they were remarking on the fact that making eye contact with the Witch DIDN'T injure the guy.

The reporter wanted feedback? He got feedback!
Ltter to reporter:

What a load of garbage!

"The unidentified white male approached Clinton " B.S. No such thing as unidentified, especially anywhere near hillary since she allows NO-ONE near here without prior approval. Unidentified = Staffer

"U.S. Capitol Police and other agencies, present to protect various officials who had spoken at the press conference, looked on as the exchange took place."
Just more proof that this was preplanned with YOUR knowledge.

Give me a full tin-foil suit but this was a set-up publicity stunt to set her up for a Presidential career, all awhile screaming her real views through a protester.

"Hopefully, we're going to have a decisive victory as soon as possible," Clinton responded. "And that will be a very good thing for the Iraqi people and their children."

This sounds like one of the many Intentional Klintoon Setups, so that the Klintoons can look fast witted, magnanimous, and be on record for saying something that they think would not be believed in one of their speeches.

Anyone remember when the crying woman came up to Klintoon in mid '96 and cried about abortion? Wonderful Klintoon hugged her and consoled her and talked softly to her, and she walked away happy and content. She was not identified either, because her identity would have linked her directly back to the Dims.

Ye Gods! Who let that couple out of the trailer park?! Never under-estimate the damage that can be done by dumb-ass voters in the right numbers.
