[history]
April 3 Shifting protests against the war in Iraq to a new level, a San Francisco group says that it will set up a picket line Monday to block supplies being shipped to U.S. forces fighting in Iraq. The group, Direct Action to Stop the War, said will attempt to shut down the war merchants at the port of Oakland by urging members of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union to not cross the picket line.

I hope that the west coast longshoremen are as patriotic as the good men and women of New York City... If so, there are going to be a bunch of black and blue liberal anti-war pukes nursing lacerations and massive bruises for proporting to establish a "Picket Line" in front of these great American working men.

When they're through with the a$$ whoopin, maybe they'll feed them to the sharks.

Patrick Reinsborough, a spokesman for the group, said it hoped that members of Local 10 of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union would respect the picket line, as union members usually do, and thus shut down APLs Oakland operations by refusing to work. And which union do the Anti-American retards belong too? The International Brotherhood of Useful Idiots?

Now this is a mistake by these morons.
This is a really dumb idea.
I hope that they learn the hard way.

It is one of the painful ironies of this war that one of the most anti-war cities in the nation, San Francisco, is being disproportionately harmed by the tactics of anti-war protesters. Not only is it NOT ironic....it's downright predictable.

This is a really dumb idea. I hope that they learn the hard way. Kinda gives us something to look forward to, doesn't it?

Shifting protests against the war in Iraq to a new level, a San Francisco group says that it will set up a picket line Monday to block supplies being shipped to U.S. forces fighting in Iraq. We should adopt early 20th century tactics that were used on picket lines .... .50 cal machine guns.

I do so hope that Mike Farrell or Marty Sheen walk that picket line to show solidarity with their fellow vict.. er... bretheren. I want to see them hug the first cops who come to pull their bloodied liberal butts out of that mess.
Somehow, after being told they can't wear patriotic paraphanalia on their uniforms because of protestor complaints, the police will show due compassion and react "quickly" to save the poor protestors.

a San Francisco group looks like the 'girls' are at it again.

Don't bet on it, the LWU is as left wing a union as can be found. They will look at it as a day off and they will likely get paid.
