There is nothing like a Saturday afternoon joy ride around Baghdad in a Bradley Fighting Vehicle.

Wow.

Our guys look relieved, to me, to finally be there and putting some of finishing touches on this campaign.

Re your concerns about Mosques heavily guarded by thugs of a guy who has desroyed plenty of Mosques and murdered millions of Moslems;

I strongly suspect that there might be some kind of unpleasant surprise awaiting occupying forces in there - potentially nuclear. How high over the terrain does a nuke have to be for maximum effectiveness? How high are those minarette / steeple towers beside every Mosque?

Aware of our sensitivity to religious shrines, Saddamnites will know that if the whole rest of the city is leveled, coalition forces will be very careful to leave the Mosques unscathed, and occupying "Infidels" will probably not be allowed anywhere near one of them.
What better place to conceal a Soviet surplus City-Killer nuclear warhead?
Or a bunch of them?

Re the Greg Kelley Video: Did you happen to catch the early releases of some of that footage before they were edited/cut?

Like the Iraqi Driver burning in his jeep, a 3rd ID Tank crew bailing out of a burning M-1A1 Abrams (last man out pulls pin and flips what looks like a frag grenade down the main hatch to finish her off before he jumps clear) and the foiled "surrender and ambush" scam attempt of 3 Iraqi soldiers, where 2 of the 3 are mowed down with a MG from one of the armored vehicles.

I hope we can get an "unedited" version. They cut a lot out after the first showing.

Thanks, these reminders of the humanitarian side of our mission are so important. I went out to a mall here in Silicon Valley today, and there were several families shopping around who were probably from Arabic-speaking countries. Their kids were happy, and their smiles suddenly reminded me of the most important things we all share in common.

Hopefully our troops can get past the "shoot first and ask questions later" phase in Iraq as soon as possible.

Old video footage of the dead Saddam show clear skies, clean buildings, autumnal dress, when in fact Baghdad has oil fires summer dress, and battered buildings. Check the video pics' clean Skies and compare to other pictures in this post

When are they going to realise we know this?

I heard on TV a few days ago that almost half the mics at the Info Minister's podium were merely taped in place and not hooked up to anything.

check the pic above!
