pro-America Rally - Medford, MA; every saturday, rain or shine.

there is a pro-america rally every saturday in medford square in massachusetts (9:30 - noonish). i went for the first time on today (04-05-03) and it was great even with the rain, snow, and sleet. FReepers come from all over, even as far as New Hampshire.

I'm bombed at work for the tax deadline, FYI y'all we had a double header. The square was rockin' Donna made a new sign that is like a carnival attraction "the saddam hit me twice sign". its two pictures of saddam, along with old shoes as the prop, we were walking into the stopped traffic to let the motorist hit the saddam just like the iraqis were flogging the head of the saddam statue that came down, it was a riot. Yesterday we freeped UJP at intersection of RT 16 & mass ave in arlington, they sure werent expecting us on a Sunday. But I'll bet they were as glad to see us as usual because we got all the people driving through all revved up-LOL. I had a couple of choice protester deterent signs "war protesters, late for this one, or early for the next?" and "relive the 60's?-NO! their parents spit on Nam vets, will they spit on Iraq vets?" my favorite is the reclaiming of the victory hand sign which they desecrates as the peace love and dove sign. I traced my hand for the "V" and wrote "ictory!" to follow plain simple and to the point! boy o boy did UJP hate us yesterday but why are they stinking up the joint on a sunday no less? we razzed all the anti's out there oh another sign "we (77%) told you (16%) So!" it was a successful weekend none the less, I think this weekend there will be a split camp in Medford, half of us will be meeting at Alewife station at 10:30 on Saturday morn to go to the big Southie Rally!
