****They were allowed to clean up in a makeshift "shower" fashioned out of a giant cardboard box and then given clothes to wear - an MTV shirt for Mohammed's wife Iman, and an oversized military T-shirt for his 6-year-old daughter. When Mohammed mentioned that he would love an American flag, the marines rushed to find one.****

Thats cool!

What this story doesn't say is that he walked five miles to find US troops to tell them about finding Pfc. Jessica Lynch--then going back to the hospital twice to gather intel for them--the number of her room, the number of fedayeen (around 40) and the layout of the hospital.

What a courageous man.

Thanks for this post - another hero revealed. CNN just showed Jessica Lynch's dogtags found IN THE HOME of one of the Baath Party members in that town - not in the hospital from which she was rescued!!!

This Iraqi hero and the Special Forces who rescued her - and Jessica herself are the BEST of what this is all about. And the reporter who asked her parents as they were ready to fly out to see their daughter, how they felt knowing that the other bodies found in that same hospital area had been confirmed to be those of her fellow soldiers - is an example of the WORST of what we have seen.

Jessica's father became emotional, speechless, because he had not heard that fact until the brute thug reporter asked that question. The father had to continue to be comforted because of the upsetting nature of this information to him.

I always feel that stories like this are little windows into the mind of God.

God bless him. May this good Samaritan receive the reward he deserves. Meanwhile, I hope those idiot reporters have the good sense NEVER to reveal his name.

Mohammed, whose last name is being withheld

I hope "Mohammed" is a fake name he's using. Saddam will order every Mohammed killed now.

"Because I love much."

That says it all and he proved it through his action.

I hope Private Lynch and this good man and his family meet one day.

1. Not every muslim is an enemy.

2. This man took a very real risk to himself and his family to do the right thing.

3. We must do right by him. He helped us, now we must help him.

PostScript. Illbay, I'm not anti-muslim, just anti-terrorist.

I said this on the first thread. If I had anything to say about it, this man and his family would want for nothing the rest of their lives. Allowing him to go to the refugee camp really bothered me.

Bummer....this doesn't bode well for my "nuke 'um all" stance. This man and his wife are truly brave souls.

Citizenship for sure...

What if any award does we have for foreign nationals who risk their lives like this to save an American?

Do we have such a thing?
