Maybe we can get an informer to tell us where Mr. Blix left his brain.

Well probably keep most of the convetional weapons that are in good working order for the post Saddam army, Iraq will still need some kind of defense force.

I'm gonna pull a GWB here:

Although I believe we will find weapons, I will not gloat until we actually HAVE FOUND THEM AND IT IS AKNOWLEDGED IN THE PRESS.

A story about a guy who sez there are weapons nearby is only a potential means to that end.

The day will come, but it's just off, maybe by only hours...

There's a lot of premature ej****lation on these threads. It will be much better and more rewarding if we wait for the right time.

I've been wondering about Salman Pak too. Or Sal Man Pak, as it's listed on map of Iraq. If they have written records, even personnel files, it should be an Intel bonanza. Perhaps the Iraqis did one smart thing and sterilized the place, perhaps they didn't have time.

I suspect that Allied forces have already found some WMD, and our governments are keeping the news quiet in order to prevent public hysteria.

"May have." "Might have."

I'm waiting for the decisive videotape to cause (at least most) of those doubters to shut up.

I think so to. Remember when we prove to the world that the WMD there is no incentive for Iraq not to use them.

At least in parts of the world Iraq is still winning the PR war.

Just a wild guess but it makes strange sense.

May have found a chemical weapons dispenser.

key words here are 'may have'. This is the 2nd or 3rd time now I think. Nothing's panned out so far, so I'll wait till we get some real confirmation before celebrating.

I've heard, although it's never been confirmed,...that Blix contemplated his navel once.

Does that count?

JHC! They've already found WMD! How many times? One pint of the stuff they found the other day is enough to kill THOUSANDS of people. Then they found the factory in the north, which has been confirmed to have had Bot' and other nasties in it, proof that the terrorist cells have the stuff throughout the world by now since it was found in a terrorist controlled place. You'd think sometime, somehow, somebody would at least have enough sense to put it all together. But NOPE..blah blah blah..we havent found it, where is it, and on and on. What do they want..a neon sign pointing to it and a stash from ground to ceiling in a steel building nine miles long? This is exactly why el dumbco and co (Blix and co) would have NEVER been able to find it, because it takes so little to do so much. I mean, anyone here could put a pint bottle on their shelf in their pantry and store it, and it would be enough to kill thousands.

Apparently you haven't seen the cannisters of which the poster is referring - these shells are long cylinders with 3 apparent spigots and a center plug on the back end with military markings (appear to be Russian). The whole side is HUGE - there is room after room, bunker after bunker, filled with all kinds of weaponry. One room is filled with anti-personnel mines, another filled with tank mines. The fact there is so much weaponry, here, however, indicates that the commander was one of those who isn't amongst Saddam's most dedicated legions, and he was not likely to have CW actually stored there. On the other hand the Iraqis are notorious for mixing up their chemical weapons with their conventional weapons so the soldiers are moving very, very slowly, with US "inspectors" in CW suits and gas masks using sensors and the like to explore the areas on a preliminary basis before they can investigate in further detail. Nonetheless, it is shown on NBC video that there are definitely some of these cannisters there, apparently Russian made chemical weapons disbursement devices, actually fairly new, it seemed.

Well, maybe we can begin the celebration soon! Double celebration if they are recent manufacture Russian! Certainly sound like Chemical Weapons stuff to me, but I'm not knowelegable enough to know. Hope the area isn't booby trapped better than our guys can detect (actually, I hope it isn't booby trapped at all).

What is this? Like a Pez dispenser? I know it's not you, but MSNBC needs to be a bit more descriptive.

Could saddam have unloaded it all to another country well before this war started?

Or would there be enough traces left behind?

I'm already hearing talk that Bush started this war "for nothing".
