Operation Infinite FReep in Fresno, California 4-4-03

Tonight's FReep of the peaceniks on the corner of Fresno's busiest intersection at Blackstone and Shaw Avenue was attended by at least twenty-two FReepers and patriots. This is a great turnout (even though it was not at all like last week's) because it had rained off and on all day and was threatening to start back up again the whole time we were out there. We didn't get rained on though, thank goodness! It was also unseasonably chilly for this part of the country tonight, a chilly forty-seven degrees. Among those FReepers and regulars who were able to be there were

Support for the troops and their commander-in-chief by those driving by was unbelievable tonight! Towards the end of the FReep, a carload of young men from Sanger High stopped and joined us. Their energy and enthusiasm was contageous and we hope they join us again next week!

To everyone who attended tonight's FReep, thanks for coming! To those who weren't able to be there tonight, we missed you and hope to see you soon.

This man was the first to arrive at our corner; he brought no sign but was letting the war protestors know what he thought of them.

I don't know! I really like being out in the street like this. I bet the peaceniks can't wait for the street to get finished so we are less noticable to those driving by!

Dialoging with those guys is like sticking a hot poker in your eye. It takes courage to even attempt to talk to them because they have no intention of listening.
