Mass Deportation of Muslim Illegal Aliens ruled out

The Bush administration has rejected the prospect of mass deportations of Muslim illegal aliens.

The administration plans to relay this message to American Muslim leaders amid the current nationwide alert for an Al Qaida attack. Hundreds of Muslims have been detained as illegal aliens as part of a crackdown by federal law enforcement authorities, Middle East Newsline reported.

On Tuesday, FBI Director Robert Mueller will meet American Muslim leaders to discuss federal measures against Al Qaida threats. Muslim groups have filed a class action suit against the government, charging that the Immigration and Naturalization Service has arrested Muslims illegally.

Muslim groups said the millions of Muslims in the United States have been the target of a backlash since the Al Qaida suicide attacks on New York and Washington in September 2001. They said at least 15 Muslims and a Sikh have been killed in attacks around the country.

Officials said Mueller plans to discuss the attacks on Muslims as well as policy toward illegal aliens. They said this will include a law passed over the last year that requires citizens from many Arab and Islamic nations to register with the INS. The procedure also includes photographing and fingerprinting.

Muslim groups have expressed concern that the law will result in the detention and deportation of hundreds of thousands of Arab and Islamic immigrants who arrived illegally or whose visas have expired. The Alliance of Iranian Americans, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, the Council on American Islamic Relations, and the National Council of Pakistani Americans have asked a federal court to issue an injunction to prevent the prospect of mass arrests.

But officials said the administration plans to reassure Muslim groups that special procedures enacted over the last year will be limited to those immigrants regarded as security threats.

Here's what you do to make it fair - round up ALL illegal aliens in the country, regardless of nationality, and deport them. Whoever is here illegally should be deported because they are breaking the law.

Exactly!! That way, no one group can claim that they are being singled out.

More and more Americans are asking why the borders aren't better protected. And more an more Americans want illegals deported. Perhaps NOW in the time to get a candidate that supports deprting illegals, ready for a run for President in 2008?

I think the fear of the current office holders being ONCE they deport the Muslim group the flood gates would open and the public outcry would force the expulsion of Mexicans, Salvadorans, Chinese etc. In short a 'can of worms.' You must remember you do not count.

This post needs to be on the short list of every American. Allowing government to remain mr nice guy is a sure bet on our eventual destruction as a nation, and the eventual, will not be a fun ride for those living and yet to live in "the greatest nation on the face of the earth".

I wonder if the Great God in heaven will continue to support such a saying if we as a nation continue such unsafe practices, as open borders, freedom from religion, the open denouncement of God's hand in our establishment, and lasting security, rampant abortion, open tolerance of those who would so easily alter that document that the founders regarded as sacred, The Constitution of the United States of America.

There are a host of other things that spell disaster, perpetrated, and tolerated, by those who ought to know better, but because of a century of "other voices" who don't know better, crying for rights that don't exist, and using the freedoms enumerated in the Constitution, to atttempt the destruction of other freedoms so enumerated, they seem blind to the eventual destructive outcome.

We find ourselves at a line in the sand where we have to ask ourselves, how much will we and the Great God in heaven, be willing to tolerate or accept in the future if it means our destruction. No matter how good you think our present President might be, he is only one third of the government, and I don't see a government of statesmen, but a government of politicians, and judges intent not on our safety, and whats good for the country, but just the opposite.

This is about my only beef with President Bush. IMHO he is every bit as much a "kiss-up" to illegals as any democrat I know of. Sadly, when it comes right down to it, maintaining ones own power is always first and foremost in the minds of politicians.

No question about it. The acquisition and maintanence of power is much more important that the future of this country to the vast majority of politicians.

Right you are. Hall County Georgia, just south of my home, has a 40% Hispanic population with an estimated 65% of those illegal. It is a huge drain on the taxpayers of that county. Property taxes have sky-rocketed in that county as well as the surrounding counties due mainly to the increase in school taxes.
