I don't believe that Jews pray to "the Messiah." The pray to God.
A prayer to God, without reference to Jesus Christ, would be appropriate no matter your religion--even Hindu.
That should be the practice, no matter your personal belief. Seek that which unites, not that which divides.

Illbay, I think sooner or later you're going to have to accept that you can't unite everyone into one religion. Each will say his prayer and others will be tollerant. I don't bear these Jewish people any disrespect, but they are not respectful of this man's faith. His prayer was not an insult to them. Joseph went into Egypt where the Pharoes worshiped other Gods. He thrived there, even working for high government officials. I doubt he demanded they abstain from their religious practices in front of him. I doubt they demanded he change his views. That's all were talking about here.
