The media morons, after almost universally echoing the "Were Losing" bit for about a week have suddenly ditched that ridiculous premise. Now they are hoping we won't remember what idiots they were. Sorry, media folks, you all are being entered into the Hall Of Shame on this one.

This morning, the Perky Katie Couric said "What a difference 24 hours makes! The tone of the war has changed."

I yelled back at the screen, "No, the tone of the coverage of the war has changed."

Nightly Aaron Brown remarks about "smoky Baghdad" claiming its due to the bombing, ignoring the crude oil fires. It's one of his quirks.

Jennings is churning inside.

Good evening everyone. At one point on Iraqi television today a government official read a statement, allegedly from Saddam Hussein, which said 'victory is within our reach.' It doesn't look like it on the battlefield.

..."And Judas Jennings went and hanged himself."

Aaron Brown, I thought, was behind the President and especially the troops. He even admitted to being biased toward the positives in this campaign.

I'll admit, he's a little odd, and his manner switches easily from grave to...Eccentric. Maybe I just haven't watched enough CNN to get the impression he personally disapproved of the job we're doing over there.

I am waiting for the Iraqi spokesman to say "they are a hundred miles away" just as the U.S. Marines show up in the briefing room. Are you listening SNL?

" The media morons "

Last week,Brokaw opened the NBC Nightly News by using ( what we now know were false ) quotes from Lt. Gen. William Wallace to begin his hit piece on the failed war plans of DefSec Rumsfeld and Gen. Tommy Franks. Does anyone know if Brokaw apologized tonight for this rotten piece of reporting ?

As much as I hate to admit it, I frequently encounter acquaintances who are not following events as closely as we FReepers do. Typically in the past few days, I am greeted with "how's the war going?" Scary thought that I'm anyone's primary source of information, but such appears to be the case. In any event, until the last couple of days, my answer was "we're winning on Fox, we're losing on BBC, and it's close elsewhere."

Good to see that the various network opinions seem to be moving in the direction of a quick and decisive victory.

And what about Mr. Arnett? Has he changed his tune too, or is he still sticking with his "coalition's going to lose" story?

You know what's coming next, don't you?

George W. Bush is too dumb to run one country, let alone two. The rebuilding of Iraq is going to be a disaster if the job is left to the warmongering idiots in the Bush administration.

The UN must be assigned this responsibility -- or the whole Middle East will be up in arms and the cause of world peace set back for another generation.

Blah. Blah. Blah. Etc.
