There is Pulaski street in the city I was raised in ( New York) and a Pulaski Highway in the city I now reside (Baltimore).

My father grew up just off Pulaski Street in Newark, NJ, in the heart of the Polish section.

You may also have traveled on the Pulaski highway in Jersey City, then.
VA has a town named Pulaski as do many other States.
If I remember correctly, we owe the excellency of our Cavalry to the work of General Casmir Pulaski in the Revolution.
