Just overheard a CNN reporter (Nic Robertson?)reporting that folks inside Baghdad tell him that Iraqi government officials are driving around near the airport, using loudspeakers to urge civlians to leave their houses and go toward the airport to fight the infidels. According to Robertson's sources, people are acutually heading out there...

I hate Nick Robertson. Reporting from Jordan and sounding like he is reporting live from Baghdad. Ditto.
Robertson is the idiot who accepted, without reservation, that the "Saddam" statement, read by the Information Minister, actually came from Saddam. He had absolutely no doubt. What an insufferable jerk.

Why arn't we taking out those cars with the loudspeakers. That is just as much of a target as a tank.

On Monday former president George Bush threw out the first pitch at the Cincinnati reds game. Now CNN is reporting that the ball missed the catcher, killed 5 Iraqi civilians and destroyed a baby milk factory. ROFL !

Wait.
I thought the airport was firmly in Iraqi hands.

These are Iraqi military in their vehicles with loud speakers going through the neighborhood next to the airport and now according to one of the news channels they are going into other parts of Baghdad asking them to drive/walk to the airport to defend Baghdad.

That is irritating -- he said he has sources in Iraq -- I never watch CNN but I could not stand Press on MSNBC or Togo West being interviewing on Fox so I ended up on CNN for his interview.
Took me awhile to realize he was pretending to be in Baghdad and not actually there -- that's wrong!

Just park a tank on the highways or roads to the airport.
How many cars are going to make it?

Why would they have to walk? Aren't they all cab drivers anyway?
To: seamole
I'm sure we have anticipated this and will have an effective means of countering. Some means other than, for example, killing all the civilians, or retreating.
We won't have to kill them all. Eventually the pile of dead around the airport will get too high for them to scale. Whatever works.

It is the neighborhood next to the airport they are going through and now they are doing it in other neighborhoods according to CNN.
