Read a rather disturbing story about his grandstanding in Afghanisan causing a lot of problems for our guys. He showed up and gave away the fact that we'd be arriving. Gave the bad guys a 'heads up'. This man is not good for our military operation.

The only thing I remember from Paint Your Wagon (except for Clint Eastwood embarressing himself trying to sing) is "They Call the Wind Mariah."
But according to Iraqi defectors, Baghdad has 100's of miles of tunnels underneath...

I still have flashbacks to my trauma consulting years of the regular 6am Monday flight from OHare to outer slobovia walking through that tunnel with bag over shoulder. The treatments have helped, but under pressure I could just SNAP. . .

They have gotten better! The more competition the better because it keeps them all trying to get viewers! Works for me -- I hate to totally depend on one channel -- actually like to have more than one source reporting.

Don't shoot the messenger, that's what Linda Vester said at the time of the alert. Nah, you did fine - you did not hear wrong; I heard them say it too. It simply struck me as funny/clumsy English. I worry about what language the kids at the SocSec office will be speaking when I go for my benefits 30 years from now.

The russians wanted to end the seige without any shooting. I doubt they ever realized the overkill until it was too late. Still, the fault lies with the terrorists.

Really? I got a completely different perspective from Shep on that. It was when he first joined the network though, and I haven't caught anything lately. Guess I'm not playing close enough attention. I do know Rita Cosby digs him.

Opens into the Tigris river. Wasn't there a report a few nights ago, about boats floting down a river? Which river? And could Saddamn and his minions have been on those boats? Anyone know anything more about that report? Whether it was verified or discounted?

LOL Yep, I'm a little tired and sensitive today. Too much war watching.

...a 3rd Infantry task force was fighting Iraqis dug in to defend the airport. Now that the Iraqis are disguising themselves as shrubberies, that line has a whole new meaning.

I agree with you -- humanitarian crises would be more like it! CNN reporting that Iraqi's are no longer allowed to leave Baghdad -- checkpoints around the city are now closed by the Iraqi military.
In the neighborhood closest to the airport, Iraqi military going around a neighborhood with loud speakers in jeeps telling the people to leave that neighborhood and head for the airport.
Iraqi authorities have switched off the lights in the city according to CNN.

Bret Baier saying signs are ominous with black out that Iraqis plan to bomb the Shia parts of Baghdad and blame it on us. Pentagon has intelligence to this effect.

Um FOX could it be....a sewer????
If not a sewer then a utility tunnel. Tunnels are part of many airport constructions--a safe way for utility crews to move about.

I completely believe he is a grandstander. That's his persona. I can also agree he isn't good for our military operation if he's given away info he shouldn't. I take it he was removed to Kuwait for that reason. I didn't realize he "showed up"... was it without permission? I assumed he traveled with them to Iraq. When I saw him with our guys in Afghanistan & later in Iraq - it's always a show, but the troops were always respectful, even friendly with him, as much as any other reporter.
