Saddam was said to have been 'mortally wounded and near death' by debris knocked loose by bunket busting ordinance ordered by the Allied forces.
The damage to the bunker was so substantial, and Saddam's wounds so significant, that Saddam was taken away 'in a panic' for immediate surgery.
The source indicated that Saddam Hussein succumbed to his injuries, some time within 2 hours of the suprise Allied attack. (at the beginning of the war)
Saddam was taken away from the collapsed bunker with an oxygen mask over his face and and intravenous line, unconscious, bloody and unresponsive. He was conveyed onto an emergency gurney by rescue workers and then taken by Ambulance to a special underground facility.
Upon Saddam's unconcious body arriving at Ft. Saddam, doctors in vain tried to save Saddam Hussein's life. However within two hours after the attack, Saddam Hussein was pronounced dead of brain damage, cerebral blood loss and other complications. (a large piece of the bunker had fallen on him and lacerate his skull and brain pan)
At a brief ceremony, his son Qusay Hussein Al-Tikriti, age 33 was sworn in as the sole Commander in Chief and President of Iraq by the Government Ministry responsible.

Good to know that Qusay inherited all of his father's military talents...

Advanced Surgeons in Damascus will shortly clone the nose into a full restoration of Saddam. Are you suggesting......The Boys From Baghdad scenario?

Glad to bring a smile to your face.
But you know, with all the supposed body doubles, you'd think they could have trotted someone out a little more convincing. That is of course, if there are any more still alive.

I can't wait till we can know what is in the underground city. But the Iraqis will probably blow it up to keep their dirty secrets private.
I sometimes wonder if killing Soddom so early in the game had the unintended consequence of prolonging the war.

After the fiasco of the bunket made of straw, followed by that of sticks, Saddam has decreed that all future bunkets be made of BRICK

The Russians were the most opposed to us going in there. They just let France and Germany be the face of the opposition.
I have read that there are advisors there, and read that thousands of Russians were willing to go and fight. Whether this happened don't know yet.
If there is any way to stop us, there is no doubt that Russia will try it.
Articles from Russian press contain lots of information they claim to know about the workings going on and we have accused them of having technical advisors there helping with the jamming equipment. Not to mention the arms being used and the night vision goggles we say they have supplied.
Lot more going on than what we know.

Excuse me ... but this is nothing more than an attempt to establish Saddam as dead. The information given in this story were already reported in the press.
The ambulance, the face mask, etc. information was well known. Besides, our intel said the person was put on a stretcher, but NO ONE who was inside WALKED away from the building. And ... the ambulance never left the complex. Soooo ... if they rushed Saddam to a hospital, then it had to be by some other method.
That one of the sons survived is probably not good intel either. Why - because when a person has such a huge ego, like those 2 sons, they would be on TV shouting, yelling, threatening, etc., especially the youngest one.
However, the bunker was supposed to be able to withstand a tactical nuke - if that's true - then they could all have survived - but that also makes me wonder if they were sealed inside the bunker and couldn't get out; maybe suffocated ...??
I guess we'll see ...

Recall the commercial touting some broker's ability to sell stock in an instant when Joe Boss appoints his son as CEO?? "I'm stoked!" "SELL!"
Funniest commercial I've seen in a long time.

As a bonus, those annoying Old Navy commercials featuring her are no longer running. My wife and I both found them creepy. I wonder if Old Navy's market research indicates they helped sell merchandise?

Saddam's personal Doctor had a meeting with Saddam's 13 look-a-likes. He said, "Men, I have some good news and some bad news. First, the good news - our beloved leader is still alive. Second, the bad news - he has lost both legs and arms and wears a cholostomy bag." Q: What do you call a sadistic dictator with no arms and no legs, hanging on a wall?
A: Art.
