they've been receiving threats and some of their property had been vandalized. "We've gotten a lot of hate mail, a lot of threatening mail," They're from Texas and yet they had no clue as to what was gonna happen to them? How stupid is that?

"What is wrong with the world when what the Dixie Chicks say is more important than the war? Why does anyone care what we think?" The backlash has left Maguire with "a combination of emotions. Either I want to speak out more or I'm scared to say anything." Talk about your classic Ditzy Chick blonde moment...Try shutting up for starters, Natalie.

Natalie Maines says she's still shocked at the amount of press her tantrum received, reports Sydney journo David J. Baird. "What is wrong with the world when what the Dixie Chicks say is more important than the war? Why does anyone care what we think?"
I bet they werent referring to Michael Moore and Al Gore regarding this comment (those 2 have publicly supported them)
Its wrong for people to get violent about this. Still, the Blixie Chicks need to learn to quit running their mouths...the anti-Bush comment isnt their first case of mouth-overloading-ass

"What is wrong with the world when what the Dixie Chicks say is more important than the war? Why does anyone care what we think?" Then why'd you open your big mouth Natalie if no one cares?

Just give peace a chance, ladies, and turn the other cheek. That what you'd like the U.S. to do, right?

People who yell "fire" in a crowded theater should expect to get trampled.
In this case people who make political statements should expect reactions from those with contrary opinions.
NOTE: They do not discuss fan objections, they are attempting to marginalize the disagreement by directing it to disagreeement by anti-maines people are vanadals and holigans. This is just spin control. Wheren't they supposed to be in the USA now?

What these are other bozo celebrities can't seem to figure out is that when you are apolitical, then everyone likes you for your work. The minute you open your mouth about politics, then you have instantly alienated half of your audience. At that point people then see your politics not your work.
The time to be political is when your career is on the wane.

These no-talents are getting a little of what they preach right back at them. Maybe your fans feel a bit betrayed, girls, sort of like that chick in the "Earl" video?

"Why does anyone care what we think?"
Gotta admit...there's a question that resonates.
Love the Thread Title. ;^)

Wheren't they supposed to be in the USA now?No, I think their tour here starts 1 May.
A caveat; The reason I dont think W is going to go the way of his father after a successful war, is because of stories like this. People are really fed up with liberals and their foolish comments. Did you see Susan sarandon pouting because her fundraiser was cancelled? I believe the Blixies, Sarandons, streisands and Moores have guaranteed W's reelection..

Can anyone cite a single example where a pro-war activist has harmed or physically assaulted a protester?
