The masks look like German M65 Gasmasks made by Draeger.
Do a google search for a picture. The filters aren't connected to the mask.

Thank you so much for all this hard work. God Bless our Troops! I'm so proud of our blessed military, and thankful for them. I'm sure the people over there are too! Keep up the great work.

That photo of the Marines from the 15th Expeditionary (where the one in the foreground has the bloody face) is a Pulitzer Prize winner, or would be if I were in charge.
The 5 year old Iraqi child with the injured foot being carried out by the U.S. soldier is pretty good competition though.

Indescribably heroic Coalition warfighters! Heroes! I've said it before I will say it again - many of us are once again proud to be American. The long dark years of Clinton Gore are slowly but steadily disintegrating.
Simply: Thanks Dio!

That picture was also posted in SAMWolf's FReeper Foxhole with a caption saying she had both legs broken and a broken arm.
God Bless her for her courage, she'll need His help to overcome whatever memories she has of her treatment by those animals....

Dio, Amen to my daily fix of "Gotta".
My fav caption:
In Baghdad, on the trail of Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammad Said al-Sahhaf, who has been moving to share or take power since Saddam (assumed room temperature.)LMAO!
Now to the serious side, worried about our rescued POW, how much as she suffered? Will she recover? Also I noticed another female name in her unit gone missing, anyone know anything?

Blix says its not proof they have WMD... By this rationale, If I had a TV remote sitting on my coffee table, it doesnt mean I have a tv.
Then lets drop it all in his lap and put the atropine right up his dupa!

Looks like the Russians have been making a killing in the arms trade Probably, but not necessarily. Russian designed small arms, and other weapons systems too, are or were manufactured in many countries, besides those of the old Soviet Union. China, Pakistan, Egypt, India, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, E. Germany, and so on. No telling for sure where any of this stuff came from without seeing the proof marks and other markings close up. Even if you knew where it had been made, you don't know how it got to Iraq. Even the Israelies and S. Afrikans (at least formerly) once had large stocks of Soviet weaponry, much of it "only dropped once" by Arab Armies. Not that Israel is a likely source in this particular case.

I hate to keep clogging up your posts with continual praise, but yours is one place I do not miss. FANTASTIC!
I don't know whether it's the pictures, the article about "where do they find such men" or the glass of wine I am drinking right now, but the tears are flowing out of total pride for our military, our President, our country, and for people like you who unselfishly provide us with a link to our wonderful troops.
Great work. A sincere thanks to you.

There were 12 in her unit taken, including two other women. Their names escape me at this moment, but one was the 30 year-old black mother who was shown on the infamous Al-Jazeera tape that included the tortured, mutilated and executed POWs; and the other is the Hopi Indian mother from AZ, Lori something. She is still listed as missing, since she didn't show up on the tape just like Private Lynch.
