No one was killed on the ground in Palestine, Tex by the shuttle debris which is a miracle considering the size of many of those pieces. This young woman from Palestine was the only one found alive in the hospital.

Last night's, middle of the night, unusual briefing, lasted all of 30 seconds. They dragged all of the presscorp out of bed to say what everyone already knew, that there was a rescue of a POW, more to follow at a later time.

101st is lightly armored force transported in LOTS of helicopters. Their purpose is to put "boots on the ground" wherever needed.

They can also put some holes in the opponent's armor. Some of the helo's are attack.

They give Bush a thumbs down as the reckless cowboy, and thumbs up to Blair as being Churchillian. I really like what Blair is doing, but am certain that if Bush weren't so strong in his convictions, I am not so sure how effective Blair would have been in leading the charge.

This is the "good cop/bad cop" scenario. Same routine with early preps, where Powell acted like the "good cop" and Bush rattled warsticks.

It will be interesting to see exactly how it plays out.

Local talk show guest expert is suggesting that we declare Saddam is Dead. It doesn't matter if he is or not. He is not leading anything!

His point - America is losing the P R war. We need to take some initiative on this front.

And of course if Saddam is alive and sticks his head out - we whack him!
