After spending some time reviewing the thread, I didn't see much on-topic discussion. Don't mean to be a spoilsport. It was just disappointing, that's all Ditto for me. I'm not trying to spoil anyone's fun either, I'm just having a hard time following the fast-breaking news.
I sure appreciate all the folks who take time to answer questions for those of us who can only pop in and out occasionally.

Oh, she also used to be the editor of the New Yorker and just about ruined it before she left.
Great review of an odious person. I guess since the New York Slimes was trying to get Eagleburger to write a hit piece against President Bush they must have to settle for Tina Brown. I know she is not related to Campbell but she is her soul sister.

G Gordon was rather subdued. Having a Marine son in Iraq might do that. G Gordon's a teddy bear, imho. (^;
Straight-talking men continued:
FN - H&C, Capt. Scott O'Grady - re. Prof. (traitor) De Generous: "I hope he gets fired and I'm willing to charter a flight so he can leave the country."

I did know they had kicked out al Jazeera and came to the same conclusion as you. But was al Jazeera the only Arabic language channel in Iraqi? I've seen others, usually state run, like Lebanon, etc. It could be they relied on al Jazeera for their "reporting."
Not to gripe any, but I've noticed that these anchors constantly say "blackhawk down" when referring to this incident. I was just watching Greta, then switched it over to MSNBC and they were saying the same thing. I don't know, it just works a nerve somewhere inside me.

I don't know. I also recall having seen "TV Abu Dabai," or some such thing. But I wasn't sure that they were actually in Baghdad. I think al Jazeera was, although I'm not absolutely certain that it was the only one.

The list of links is in Post #11 at the beginning of this Thread. Try the CBS/Baghdad Cam (Real) link if you have RealPlayer or equivalent.

This Nic Robertson on CNN is a total moron. I'm so glad CNN's ratings are SO much lower than Fox News.

As we get close and closer to Baghdad, the reporters will get their stories but probably won't be able to put them out right away for security purposes.
I also believe many of them have left and will return after Baghdad has been secured.
I'm sure we're chomping at the bit to get into some of Saddam's bombed out bunkers and see what we find. We need some "high ranking" officers in our net.
Just Keep Praying For Our Troops!!

Greta should not cover a war. She is too excitable. Oh my, yes! She's a bad influence on her guests. Her constant negativity ("what's the worse case scenario?") is contageous and unhelpful. She had Lt. Gen. Tom McInerney worrying last week. 900 TVs on the USS Truman...most tuned to FoxNews. GRRR, Greta.
