Last summer was the worst I have ever experienced. At football practice for my oldest, I was literally doused in deep woods OFF replenishing it every five minutes and I was still covered in the little buggers.
This year I'm prepared with the new 3M product - Ultrathon. It's 140% DEET and eats your skin if left on longer than 5 hours but it's the only way to get some peace while outside in Minnehahahahaha.

Here's a good article from Ivan.
"Alone but for the screams of the tortured"
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/883263/posts It's about the reporters that were taken prisoner and then released. There was a human shield in their group too which I didn't know about.

Don't want them to get good pics of our GIs headed into Baghdad huh?

HEy, try hiking through the Everglades in mid-August, mosquitos, noseeums, gnats and who knows what else... let me jsut sya did it once, that was enough
To: prairiebreeze
Their booting out their biggest propaganda tool?? Wonder whyMaybe they don't want them broadcasting people celebrating in the streets, tearing down statues of SH and cheering our troops.
To: prairiebreeze
Probably because they show too much.

Why do they have guards stationed outside the plane? It looked to me like they were affording her maximum privacy. They formed a screen around her. Perfectly understandable if that's what she wants, after her ordeal.

Being cute and rescued doesn't put her to the front of the guys from the front line in my book. I see it as a side by side situation. They are all our troops fighting together for the same cause. I just hope we don't hear that other guys with more serious wounds had to wait.

I hope your kitty will be okay. Our Tigger started the same thing a few months ago, and she wouldn't provide a sample either and had to spend the night. Tigger recovered just fine, so I hope your guy does too.
