Northside is where I saw the hand grenades and electric fencing. My friends ranged from Belmont, to Wrigley Field, to Evanston. I only spent some vacations from SIU with my Mom (GRHS) and stepdad -- and that was in So. Indiana. This was 78-79 (coldest damn winter I ever experienced), and 79-80 (55 degrees on Christmas eve).

JK about the lethal weapons, but I was continually amazed at the lengths people would go to to protect their parking places. After helping a buddy dig one out with about 2-3 feet of snow I understood why.
