I was pleased that today Torie read the comments of another former "human shield" at the briefing.

I am very impressed with Torie Clarke.

Al Jazeera West (also known as CNN) is not worth your blood pressure. Change the channel.

[thunk]...[thunk]...[thunk] Yes, sounds like the hammer boy is back.

You can hear sounds of a hammer pounding on the CBS bag cam at the moment. There has been sporatic sounds of artillary, deep low thuds from far away, that could be parts of the 3rd ID firing into the 20 mile radius surounding the capitol, it could be what's left of the Medina devision returning fire, or coalition aircraft droping ordinacnce on the RG.

No significant explosions on the bag-cam in the last hour or so.

Reporting live from Baghdad Iraq, I'm George StehaShillForClinton, and I'm a blow-dryed poodle.

I found Cambpell attractive when she first appeared on the scene - but that wore off real quick like.

Don't take it wrong, ladies. There are some guys (shallow ones) who base everything on appearance...but most of us don't. We do use appearance for an initial assessment (how can you not?) but once you get to know someone, their true beauty (or lack thereof) shines through.

Just back. Very sad about the BBC cameraman who died stepping on the land mine. Reuters could have improved the accuracy of their story by pointing out that American military leaders have assured the press that the coalition forces only use portable land mines for defensive purposes. We retrieve and carry each one as we move on. Saddam's regime leaves land mines for innocents to step on.

WE, the American people, the Generals, the troops, the President are owed an apology...

That would be sweet indeed...

Last night I was listening to someone on FOX saying that while the media might not have a 'collective agenda' they did have a 'deep seated' agenda. Their prejudices against Bush and his cabinet, colored every report they gave. Sounds like what I hear everytime hubby surfs to one of those channels....YUK

My father was a pilot during WW2. He flew B-29's out of Guam, and literally was one of the last pilots to return from a mission at the end of the war. (He lost an engine coming back from a bombing mission, landed at Iwo Jima, and then came back the day after Japan announced it's surrender in 1945.)

Thanks for your families' service! My late uncle was a pilot in the Pacific too. We have a lot of letters from him that was so descriptive of battles. Fascinating!

"Sounds like what I hear everytime hubby surfs to one of those channels."

When I married my husband I introduced him to Fox, but I occasionally catch him watching network evening news. I guess I still have some work to do.
