FREE REPUBLIC NETWORK
The Free Republic Network is pleased to announce that its chairman, Scott Swett, is scheduled to appear on the Fox News Network's Morning show - Fox and Friends at approximately 8:00 EST, Wednesday, April 2, 2003 to discuss the Rally for America and the Network's support of our troops fighting terrorism throughout the world and in support of our troops in the war in Iraq.
Scott will be representing Freepers far and wide in this rare network media opportunity to talk about our support of the US Military, President Bush and our desire to see a free Iraqi people.
In a six to eight minute segment Scott will be highlighting the recent nationwide rallies. Over the course of the month of March in over 100 cities over 150,000 people attended rallies in support of our troops.
Recent news polls show over 72% of the American people support President Bush and our troops. According to Fox News consultant Dick Morris, over 50% of the American people support the war even if it takes over a year. "Most Americans understand that removing Saddam Hussein's regime from power is an integral part of the War on Terror, and we want to honor those who are accomplishing this tough and dangerous job," said Swett in a pre-broadcast interview. "As for those who claim war never solves anything, let them take the matter up with the Taliban."
Join us and please share your support with Scott as he heads into downtown Washington D.C. to talk with Fox and Friends about Freepers!

Good going Scott. You looked sharp and made some incisive points. "Peace riots" ...LOL!. Made everyone (the forum, the network and FReepers in general) proud.
If you're not in media and communications you need to get into it.

It was a pleasure to hear the term "Peace Riots". That's why I love this board. Humor and professionalism!
Let's hope he's in back talking to their assignments editor and getting the ability to get more national coverage on our local rallies!
Regards,
TS

"Sharp and professional" indeed! Quite the contrast to the footage they showed of the green-haired PEACE RIOTERS!
Nice job, Scott!!!

Professional, to the point, facts laid out, informative-----good job, Scott!!!
And Scott didn't let us down with his subtle humor ----"Peace riots". LOLOL! Even Edy picked that one up.
BUT --- I've got complaint. Scott mentioned all the coverage by the main media, whereas the grassroot rallies go unnoticed, so what does Fox show? I'm sure there is footage of some of our Pro-Rallies, but they splashed the idiot stuff on the screen. They proved Scott's point.
AAGGGHHHHHHH!

I just saw Scott Swett on Fox News! I was not aware that he was going to be on. He was terrific. Go FReepers! After a large rally on Liberty Weekend, New Orleans FReepers are having informal one hour rallies every Sunday from 4-5 P.M. in a very visible area, a small Korean Memorial Park on a large median area across from a mall. Some of our signs say, Honk if You Support Our Troops. The response from motorists has been spectacular! It sounds like New Years Eve.
To: The Shrew
He did an excellent job!
