The rumour, I heard from my usually reliable well placed sources, was that he (Saddam, not my source!) had lost both legs during that first night's bombing, which is why he was shown in his subsequent television appearances like Elvis in 1956 on Ed Sullivan, from the waist up!

I am tired of this. Let's force the issue. Why not simply start the simple rumor... or in this case, surmise, that "SADDAM IS DEAD". A question to our loyal-pro American Arabic scholars... what is the Arabic for "SADDAM IS DEAD!" ? At every rally, meeting, anywhere Al Jazzzzzeera might possibly have coverage, have people chat "SADDAM IS DEAD" in Arabic. Perhaps this will make 'em fish or cut bait, (sh*t or get off the pot?)! SADDAM IS DEAD!
