Planned Parenthood picks peacenik 'Hanoi Jane' as abortion war's latest 'medal of honor' recipient
American Life League ^ | 03/28/2003 | Press release

Posted on 04/01/2003 8:02:09 AM PST by Interesting Times

In an unprecedented display of contempt for pre-born children and our armed forces, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is "honoring" Jane Fonda. The well-known pro-abortion activist who was roundly scorned for visiting Hanoi during the height of the Vietnam War is receiving Planned Parenthood's highest award-the PPFA Margaret Sanger Award- this Saturday, March 29, 2003. "Every American, especially our veterans and active-duty military, should be outraged that Planned Parenthood would pay homage to Jane Fonda," said Jim Sedlak, Executive Director of American Life League's STOPP International.

Additionally, PPFA President Gloria Feldt recently released a statement that said freedom for Iraqi women could only be achieved if the U.S. Government provides them with access to contraception and abortion, despite the fact that both practices are in direct opposition to the Muslim religion. "Planned Parenthood's lack of integrity truly knows no bounds! The Iraqi people are embracing the prospect of real freedom from oppression, yet Planned Parenthood wants to wage its own war on Iraq's pre-born children through its dictatorial regime of abortion and contraception," said Sedlak.

At a time when the people of the United States are coming together to support our troops, Planned Parenthood continues the tradition of their founder-Margaret Sanger-by sowing the seeds of discord. "Planned Parenthood's actions are truly shameful. Is an utter disgrace that the U.S. government provides $240.9 million taxpayer dollars towards their annual budget."

Where are all the FReepers who used to crow: "Don't badmouth Jane Fonda. She says she's found Jesus and that's good enough for me!"

It's amazing that Planned Parenthood even dares to invoke the name of Margaret Sanger -- a racist proponent of eugenics who once described her intention "to give certain dysgenic groups in our population their choice of segregation or sterilization."

"This is a slap in the face to superstar slut Madonna, who once proudly claimed to have had 13 abortions herself."

Actually if they want a better response to their campaign they should show off Jane Fonda as, "See what happens when liberal parents don't get an abortion."

Bump! This is just more proof that this vile organization has been a communist funded organization and now is probably an Islamofacist funded organization.

Travis just another example of what we were discussing on another thread.

Most of the so called anti War Heroes like Arnett and Fonda have been leaders and spokesmouths for the anti America movement since the 1960's.

Whatever happened the Hanoi Jane conversion to "born-again" Christianity?

Are born-again Christians pro-abortion?

Or was that quick conversion just a phase for the Wicked Witch of the East?

Planned Parenthood's roots are occultic, and Lady Jane's been a controlled subject for decades.

Apparently her foray into some kind of new-age Christianity was just another "role" for the aging thesp.

Phoney is as phoney does.

IT was between her or Jesse Jackasson and the Sanger irony was older and therefore a much harder pull on the recall trigger.

I have always wondered if Jane Fonda gives a damn about anyone elses opinion? Face it, she does what she wants when she wants to do it.

Excuse me, I just don't understand this mentallity. Never will.

These people just spout out as if their important. And, they ain't.

Given who Margaret Sanger really was, this award sounds more like an insult.
