They never get the recognition they deserve.
You know, one of my neighbors works at the Navy hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, where our wounded Marines are kept. I figure everyone's trying to get gifts and such to the wounded, and probably what those wounded want -- if they're married -- is to make sure their wife is supported. So I told my neighbor, please, if you see any of them, ask them if they need anything at all (blankets, fruit, whatever) and I'll buy it for them.
I figure, as a civilian, that's the best way I can help the wounded guys.
