Hollywood CA - In a unexpected stunning announcement today in Hollywood California, Senator Hillary Clinton has announced that she is joining a long list of names vying for the Democratic nomination for President in 2004.
Joining a field that includes Senators John Kerry, Joe Lieberman, and Governor Howard Dean, Mrs Clinton said that she had the best chance to defeat current President, George W Bush.
"Mr. Bush is acting like he has a mandate, even though he did not have the majority of the vote. He is reversing eight years of progress. We're going back to the old days of defecit spending. We are acting unilaterally in our foreign policy without the support of the United Nations. We still do not have common sense gun laws. Too many Americans still do not have health care. Too many conservative judges are being nominated, and a woman's right to choose is in grave danger. We're going back to the Dark Ages. This will all change under a Hillary Clinton presidency, and we can make it happen!!!" she announced to a roaring partisan crowd of 200 donors.
Barbra Streisand immediately endorsed her saying "It's past time for a woman president." Other notable democrats in attendance were Senators Dianne Feinstein, Barbra Boxer, Debbie Stabenow, Congressman Barney Frank, along with major donors John Huang and Hugh Jazz. Former President Bill Clinton was notably absent at the announcement and could not be reached for comment.
President Bush's assistant press secretary, Duane Johnson simply said "It doesn't matter who the Democrats nominate. We will be ready."
