President Bush headed to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania today to speak about Homeland Security and Operation Iraqi Freedom to a crowd that included many Coast Guard members. The President thanked the Coast Guard for their duty in Operation Liberty Shield, and praised their readiness. Bush also took the opportunity to thank the men and women of the Armed Forces who are serving in Iraq. The President returned to Washington later in the day. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I have no idea. He has certainly captured my heart and respect. It sure is a relief to see him with that (not so) innocent look on his face. It's kinda a little playful, like a "Who me? What did I do?"

I've been one to post the human interest war stories (the bios of the guys and gals over there) but that one was so blatently sickening I couldn't do it. (Besides, it was more about her than him anyway.) Good thing I don't buy the paper and read it online...

I've been out all day, so haven't seen much news. I bet when you saw that evil sneer, you worked out just a little harder.

My very fist reply so forgive me if I screw up. Just wondering if anyone else noticed our very handsome president seems to be wearing cuffed pants. Especially noticeable in the 3rd to last picture in 28. Didn't know they were back in fashion.

I got a media joke for you...heard it a couple of days ago...
President, George W. Bush, and the Pope met on the deck of the Vatican Yacht, yesterday. Their discussion centered around Iraq-- the humanitarian Iraqi needs, and the Iraqi suffering.
While on board, the Pope's (hat) was swept away by a gust of wind...onto the water it landed.
Without missing a beat, President Bush got off the boat, walked on water over to the (hat) and retrieved it, giving it back to the Pope, once on board again.
The next day, the headlines read... "Bush Can't Swim"
typical!

Actually, I almost lost my lunch! Seeing JW (I wonder if she's related to a j-school professor I had in college...) with her whiney voice and chronically sour expression just makes me want to _____________ _______________ her!
As another note, I wonder how any of these media ________ would have survived WWII when things took weeks or months, not day, and the casualty list was longer than who-knows-what per day! They would have cried by the minute.

I remember reading that. Touchè!
Did you know that one of the requirements for graduating from broadcast journalism school was having teeth brighter than your IQ! (and I've got a few friends from school who are BJ....)

I try to avoid her and Woolfie as much as possible. But I know you can't help it when you're at the gym. I've noticed more of the televisions around campus are on Fox News.
I don't think any of these media people would have been able to handle reporting WWII. Their impatience and irrationality just seems to grow with each day.
On a side note, I went to check my mail and found a sticker that said "Only UNamericans put the UN before America." Under that was www.freerepublic.com. I thought it was the greatest thing.

Here's one:
Saddam's doctor called a meeting of all the Saddam look-alikes.
"Men, I've got some good news and I've got some bad news.
The good news is Saddam is still alive.
The bad news is he lost an arm."
BTW I posted the other one a couple of nights ago.....
