You are a fast mover and shaker. Just for your info, FR has a central site at www.freeper.org to gather this type of info.

BTW,.. they ask ANYONE who is sponsoring a rally to post it on this site. It will be told to whomever is trying to find a rally, even those put on by FReepers. :o)

Hi!

This enthusiastic support for America is wonderful!

Has anyone tried to arrange some kind of coordinated nationwide rally event? What if we agreed to days like Memorial Day and July 4 as national pro-US rally days with a major rally at or near the WTC as the spiritual center of it all? Perhaps we could use cell phones for a nationwide "conference call" between each rally leader or something like that. The idea would be to create a positive spectacle to show the media, our country, the world, and, most importantly, our troops fighting for our lives that we back them 100%. That while they fight for us abroad we fight for them at home.

What do you think?

You were at the Sacramento Rally? Us too! Someone more organized than I should set up a Freeper tent at such events for folks to sign-in.

DAG nabbit!!!! It would have been so cool to have met.

We walked around looking for Freepers. We even went to the booth of the Purple Heart Recipients and asked if they knew if FreeRepublic.com had a booth.

You're right. We need to have a booth.. or at least a HUGE banner saying "FREEPERS GATHER HERE!!" up near the front or something. Plus, I'm sure the groups who organized this would be happy to let us have a banner up front with theirs. There were others there besides their own. :o)

We plan on being at the local ones too.. but when the next Sacramento one happens,.. we need to find each other!!

:o)

Agreed. During the Bush-Cheney rallies following the election in 2000, during the Gore-grab for Florida, someone gave out large signs that said "FreeRepublic.com." I may still have mine. If so, and with the next rally, I'll be sure to bring it.

That's a great idea!! BTW, another freeper "Dec31,1999" was there too. Perhaps we need to form a Sacramento Chapter PING list?

How about Armed Forces Day weekend, May 16-18, 2003?
Memorial Day and the Fourth of July have a more "family"-oriented focus, IMHO.

I recall that during the Simon campaign last fall, there was a light of activity to form or bring together a Sacramento FR chapter. Perhaps it didn't succeed. But certainly to create a Sacramento PING list is the least that should be done.

I just sent this list to Fox & Friends, lets hope they read the list and give all the patriots another voice!

Meanwhile use this little fistey old lady's answere to protesters...

I got off my train in Roslyn because I had to use the bathroom. When I was getting back on the train, there were protestors on the train platform handing out pamphlets on the evils of America. I politely declined to take one. An elderly woman was behind me getting off the escalator and a young (20ish) female protestor offered her a pamphlet, which she politely declined. The young protestor put her hand on the old woman's shoulder as a gesture of friendship and in a very soft voice said, "Ma'am, don't you care about the children of Iraq?" The old woman looked up at her and said, "Honey, my first husband died in France during World War II so you could have the right to stand here and bad mouth your country. And if you touch me again, I'll stick this umbrella up your ass and open it."

Thanks for the feedback!

Armed Forces Day? I hadn't heard of it before. But that sounds good too.

Memorial Day and Independence Day are good days for families to get together, especially to honor together the men and women who fought for their ability to celebrate as a family in peace and freedom.

Each family can decide for itself whether to honor our vets and those in active service and our Founding Fathers in private or at a public rally or both.

Thanks again. I'll discuss this more with my friends and contacts in CT and NYC.
