The A.N.S.W.E.R. is: They are Communists!

That is short and to the point. I have been thinking of a few more:

A.N.S.W.E.R = Workers World Party
Proud Sponsors of:
Stalin's Invasion of Hungary
Tiananmen Square Protestor Slaughter
Saddam's Murder, Torture, and Rape

Environmentalists for Burning and Dumping Oil

Human Rights Activists for Murder, Torture, and Rape

Feminists for Institutionalized Rape

TOMMY
by Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936)

I went into a public-'ouse to get a pint o' beer,
The publican 'e up an' sez, "We serve no red-coats here."
The girls be'ind the bar they laughed an' giggled fit to die,
I outs into the street again an' to myself sez I:
O it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, go away";
But it's "Thank you, Mister Atkins", when the band begins to play,
The band begins to play, my boys, the band begins to play,
O it's "Thank you, Mister Atkins", when the band begins to play.

I went into a theatre as sober as could be,
They gave a drunk civilian room, but 'adn't none for me;
They sent me to the gallery or round the music-'alls,
But when it comes to fightin', Lord! they'll shove me in the stalls!
For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, wait outside";
But it's "Special train for Atkins" when the trooper's on the tide,
The troopship's on the tide, my boys, the troopship's on the tide,
O it's "Special train for Atkins" when the trooper's on the tide.

Yes, makin' mock o' uniforms that guard you while you sleep
Is cheaper than them uniforms, an' they're starvation cheap;
An' hustlin' drunken soldiers when they're goin' large a bit
Is five times better business than paradin' in full kit.
Then it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, 'ow's yer soul?"
But it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll,
The drums begin to roll, my boys, the drums begin to roll,
O it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll.

We aren't no thin red 'eroes, nor we aren't no blackguards too,
But single men in barricks, most remarkable like you;
An' if sometimes our conduck isn't all your fancy paints,
Why, single men in barricks don't grow into plaster saints;
While it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, fall be'ind",
But it's "Please to walk in front, sir", when there's trouble in the wind,
There's trouble in the wind, my boys, there's trouble in the wind,
O it's "Please to walk in front, sir", when there's trouble in the wind.

You talk o' better food for us, an' schools, an' fires, an' all:
We'll wait for extry rations if you treat us rational.
Don't mess about the cook-room slops, but prove it to our face
The Widow's Uniform is not the soldier-man's disgrace.
For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Chuck him out, the brute!"
But it's "Saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot;
An' it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' anything you please;
An' Tommy ain't a bloomin' fool -- you bet that Tommy sees!

I'd rather protest with volunteers of the conservative movement than the professional protestors that travel city-to-city hired by the leftist liberal movement. This article provides good exposure for FR.

Thank you.

I was thinking of that poem just yesterday, when some leftist on TV was earnestly claiming that his antiwar group "supports the troops."

Further, we see Free Republic registereds getting involved with their headquarters and we see GOP folks joining Free Republic. What are the chances that DEMS are joining the DU? They are coming here instead and then becoming indies or joining the GOP.

I believe that out of caution, the GOP may have initially bought the spin that we were wacky (lol), but they've witnessed our effectiveness and level headedness; the turning point being Algor's sound and legitimate defeat.

Exactly right....that's my first hand experience....they are eager to learn from us....because we get results. Now we've got them FREEPing with us on street corners in Venice, FL!

Yes. Be careful, though, and don't underestimate the enemy. The democRATs are also learning from this. Right after the November elections last year, Dick Morris was on Hannity and Colmes and said flat-out that American politics has reached a point in it's history where "an email campaign can defeat a TV campaign".

Don't underestimate the enemy, like they have (at least up to now) underestimated us.

Hi, mafree, I've been resting after the 2002 election victories and I moved to a nicer home too. If you have Fox News Channel, I guess someone from Free Republic was interviewed (possibly BobJ). Check it out today. I'm sure that if we were on Fox, there's probably a thread here somewhere.

Bottom line, www.freerepublic.org is where all the rallys for America and for the troops are listed. Check that out too.

Yes, out of respect for our candidates and in order to insure successful campaigns, when it's election season, a lot of what I do is by freepmail or in the community - definitely.

They'll never be able to duplicate what we are doing because I believe we are starting to represent a majority of Americans. Liberals can imitate what we do here but never duplicate. Go, Free Republic!

Nope, not BobJ this time (as far as I know). It was Scott from FreeRepublic Network.

Excerpt:

Scott will be representing Freepers far and wide in this rare network media opportunity to talk about our support of the US Military, President Bush and our desire to see a free Iraqi people.

In a six to eight minute segment Scott will be highlighting the recent nationwide rallies. Over the course of the month of March in over 100 cities over 150,000 people attended rallies in support of our troops.

All the Rallies are listed here:

Too bad you missed Scott...he was great...calm, collected, on message...and very professional.

One of my favorite lines was his use of the term...'peace riots'.
