I read your column today about right-wing talk radio. The interesting thing is that conservatives feel exactly the same way about liberals, almost every accusation to the letter. I won't detail each here, because there is one very simple way of testing which side needs to stop and analyze their philosophies.

The ONLY "Americans" who are publicly calling for AMERICA TO LOSE are coming from the left.

If the airwaves are so "polluted" how do you intend to "purify" it? Why don't you actually attempt to counter arguements instead of fantasizing about eliminating the opposition? Your inability to mentally deal with disagreement is NOT MY PROBLEM. If you don't like what's on talk radio, who's forcing you listen?

The fact is a majority of Americans are marginalized for their very valid views and hold values that are VERY different from what YOU feel Americans ought to have. So you're just going to have to put up and shut up with the very real anger that's out there.

Please don't pretend to know what this country's ideals were founded on. If you've actually read about Enlightenment and Neo-Classical Liberal thought you'd realize that democracy, diversity, social equality and equal distribution of wealth were repulsive to them.

This nation is built upon the foundations of all great nations: Constitutional Republicanism, (meaning limited suffrage and strict legal interpretation) Laissez-faire Capitalism (meaning private property rights and unobstructed interstate commerce) and Social Darwinism (meaning a natural aristocracy of professionals, land owners and generals, united by a single faith and clergy).

That's the way the West has more or less been run for the last two centuries. The ideals of democracy, equality and diversity are just that: Ideals. In practice, they have failed miserably. That chopper pilot is the manifestation of Kipling's concept of The White Man's Burden. I don't know his race but he is sacrificing his life in a larger effort to uplift a backward people into the modern world. Get over your illusion of the "noble savage" and placing Americans on the same moral/cultural plane as the Third World.

That chopper pilot also proves the West's superior martial professionalism; would an Iraqi or Taliban pilot have done the same? And what of the term savage? What do you think the members of the 3rd Infantry Division think of the savage who carbombed 4 of their brothers? Or of the executioners of our POWs? Unlike many liberals, we "right-wingers" genuinely love our soldiers in our hearts and when we pray for them, our thoughts are true. Whether that pilot believes in god or nation, he is doing it because he feels he must serve something higher than him. He is our better and we cherish him for it.

The true savages of Iraq are the ones obeying Saddam and the ones that so-called peace protesters are defending and aiding.

YOUR ANTI-BUSH/ANTI-WAR DEMONSTRATIONS ARE LENDING COMFORT TO OUR ENEMIES WHETHER YOU INTEND IT OR NOT. WE HAVE FAILED TO PRESENT A UNIFIED NATIONAL FRONT AND IT IS BECAUSE OF YOU. Everyone from Rousseau to Locke to Hobbes fundamentally agree that a higher form of freedom, of civilized society cannot exist without law enforcement. The host was no doubt referring to those Iraqis who hung that teenage girl who waved at our troops, or perhaps they were discussing the discovery of the "torture chambers", or maybe it had something to do with them mortaring their own people while they tried to flee Basra, or maybe it was even the Iraqis who hid behind women and/or held up babies while they fired at our troops.

Gotta love how the left leaves out "context" when it suits them.
