IRAQI TV HOST: Welcome in Baghdad, and our people know you, know your reports to CNN in 1991. Let us start with a question about the general image that you look now in Iraq.

ARNETT: Well, I'd like to say from the beginning that the 12 years I've been coming here, I've met unfailing courtesy and cooperation. Courtesy from your people, and cooperation from the Ministry of Information, which has allowed me and many other reporters to cover 12 whole years since the Gulf War with a degree of freedom which we appreciate. And that is continuing today.

Geraldo has also been booted from the front lines for revealing operational secrets. Just can't keep his mouth shut.

Yeah, I also saw where Fox had to remove the Repeater Geraldo from the field. Loose lips....

If Arnett got fired for this, Jennings should have been long gone. I don't see the difference.

There's a big difference. While Jennings is a POS too, his anti-American statements are made here in the US. Arnett made his statements in Baghdad, and he made them while allowing himself to be interviewed by the enemy.

How many networks can you be fired from before you're considered unreliable?

Peter Arnett should FOREVER have the label "The Iraqi Lord Haw-Haw" afixed to his name.

You know, I started to copy and paste the first comment made by Arnett. Then I kept reading and Wow! I can't believe he let his guard down like this.

The whole thing did seem unreal. Almost like he was an actor speaking lines in some bad play which was based on some badly written fiction.

If the stations weren't brave enough to sever ties with Arnett, they could easily have insisted he take a long leave to spend time with a psychiatrist.

I am digging around in Arnett's past. Guess what pivotal quote in Viet Nam was "heard" by Peter Arnett?

"It became necessary to destroy the town (BanTre) in order to save it."

This quote, which was alledgedly made by an Air Force Major Chester L. Brown to Peter Arnett was one of the most effective bits of anti war propaganda to come out of the Viet Nam conflict.

The problem is, "Major Brown" may not have said it at all, it was probably created out of whole cloth by Peter Arnett even back then!

Here is some source material, go about 80% down the link, it is partially in Vietnamese and partially in English.

http://www.giaodiem.com/doithoai/nh-trancn.htm

We need to track down this "Major Brown" quote, if this was one of traitor Benedict Arnett's first "Big Lies", that will be important to know today. Has Arnett been an America hating mole since the 60s?

I read elsewhere his mentor was an Australian communist and virulent America hating reporter named ?Burchett?, this should also be tracked down.

Good diggina and let us know what you find.

I'm sure that Arnett was a paid communist mole during the Nam Years and post Nam.

When the USSR was on its death bed, he got into bed with his new cash cow, his butt buddy Soddomite.

Now that cash cow is gone. It will be interesting to see who Arnett lines up for his new cash cow.

One of the positive things after the horror of 9/11 is how these various traitors are outing themselves while thinking that we have forgotten about 9/11.

They are destroying any respect that decent people might have had for them.

I want to see the money and political ties with many of these clymers going back to when they scared the Nation away from winning the War in Nam to the present traitors pretending to be peaceniks. Many like Ramsey Clark and Arnett have been soiling this country since the Nam days.

I still have not learned how to post photos but I recommend looking at this link to today's Garner cartoon in the Washington Times. It is the epitome of Saddam and Baghdad Pete.

Hi Maica,

Just right click on the image, and go to "properties" on the menu. Copy this:

http://images.washtimes.com/images/op-ed/0401garner.gif

Then write this HTML formula, dropping in your copied "properties", it will look like this, but I am putting spaces next to the < > so that the HTML will not activate.

< IMG SRC="http://images.washtimes.com/images/op-ed/0401garner.gif" >

If you leave out the spaces, you get your picture to activate in HTML.
