WTF Is Geraldo doing?

Posted on 03/30/2003 8:48:09 PM PST by lewislynn

This is the third night I've seen Geraldo giving the location of his company and mentioning the new supply route to the west.

Three nights ago he gave his location by miles. So many miles north of Q8 and so many miles south of Baghdad and so many miles west of ?....

Now he's drawing their war plan in the sand.

I'll put Geraldo in the Peter Arnett category (is anybody really surprised at his treason?).

I went to the FOX website but can't find the e-mail address...I'm pissed.

>>>when I heard him give the plan away with times and locations.

So that's the plan. We will defeat the new plan. But boss, suppose that isn't the plan they just put on Iraqi TV. ooops.

His information about the resupply route going through Basra, as well as the location of Basra, was bogus.

The location of Basra is bogus???

I always said that Geraldo "The Fake", would perform un-natural acts on camel to get an interview with Saddam. I change the channel when he comes on and send FNC an email to explain why.

His reports are extremely long.

Before the war, I watched him one time and burst out laughing because he used all sorts of bad names to describe the Taliban etc. It was funny.

As for Geraldo, I think he's showboating. I usually get very annoyed watching his reports. As he talks to the very brave troop like people..

Giving them a chance to say hello to folks at home...insisting they not call him sir....if he was giving sensitive information, he'd be gone. Yessir, I'm beginning to like him a little myself.

He's back on, drawing a map in the sand, as earlier. This must be with approval of the military.

I wonder if you'd all be singing the same tune if he was working for CNN rather than working for FOX.

If he was working for CNN, I wouldn't see his reports so I would not be able to comment on them. I don't allow socialist anti-American drivel in my home.

I can understand your anger with Geraldo, but he is doing us a big favor.

We want the Republican Guard to leave their urban cover to come fight us in the open desert. We want to know if they still have fuel, food, and ammo, at least enough to go on the offensive.

But no matter, if they come out to fight, then we'll slaughter them in the desert. If they stay in their lines, then we'll bomb them out of existence.

They have a small vote in where they die, but not much more than that.

So for Geraldo is still reporting, which leads me to believe that whatever he said, was nothing to get him into trouble....if he all of a sudden disappears, and the military says its because he gave out info he should not have, then that is a different case..

But so far, whatever he has reported, has not been deemed wrong by the military, and its the military, not you, not me, not anyone on FR, who gets to decide that what he reported was wrong....

If he does something wrong in his reporting, he will be booted...

If he does what the military requests, regarding his reporting, he will be on Tv, whether or not you like it...

Since 9-11, Geraldo has been a big plus for Fox News. He did a fine job reporting from Afghanistan and now, is doing a excellent job in Iraq. If he broke the military rules and released info he wasn't suppose to, he'd be bounced outta Iraq, in a NY minute!

Thank you all -- I was beginning to wonder if I was the only conservative left who could see through Geraldo's phony sincerity. I too believe he would sell his own mother if the story was big enough -- hence his cross-over to conservative reporting. I'm sure he isn't doing anything the military hasn't cleared, but I'd much rather watch somebody else doing it. I grit my teeth every time he speaks.

You really should calm down. Do you think that the people he is with right now would let him give away important info? There are people standing right next to him and they don't seem too concerned.

I heard that a embedded reporter from the Christian Science Monitor, got booted summarily, for revealing his location, or other significant military information. I assume that Geraldo's reporting is in the clear, and that he is not revealing anything significant. Remember, he has spent over a year in and out of Afghanistan, and knows the wisdom of keeping his cards close to his vest.

1. Remember how far he was off when he said he was standing on the spot in Afghanistan where some of us died. Wasn't he 40 miles away? He doesn't have a clue where he is.

2. Nobody from the Iraqi bad guys watches Fox. They all watch CNN to get what they want to hear. Fox would drive them as nuts as CNN does us.

3. I know guys in the 101st. A couple who have hated Geraldo all their lives. His finding Jesus didn't change anything. If you're familiar with Snipe hunting, Geraldo is on a 101st Snipe hunt. If in his next broadcast he's holding a bag and a flashlight with nobody around him, you'll know what I mean.

Nuff said.
