IRAQI commanders reportedly circulated copies of the movie Black Hawk Down before the war in Iraq as a manual to defeat the Americans.
A Time Magazine report says US military intelligence officials believe the movie has been used as a battle guide.
"The film tells the story of the 18 US Army Rangers who were killed by Somalis while attempting to rescue comrades from two helicopters downed in Mogadishu in 1993. The casualties prompted the US to wind up its military operation in Somalia," the report says. "The Iraqis may hope that similar scenes of Americans being bloodied in the streets of Baghdad would bring the same result."

Generals really do plan to fight the last war. At least the Iraqi generals seem to.

"Somehow, I don't think Bush will withold armor and air support like Clinton." Somehow, I think you are right!

This is the cone of fire created by an AC-130 Spectre ship's laser guided, computer controlled cannon. It is visible because every fifth shell is a tracer round. An AC-130 gunship was requested by the U.S. military in Mogadishu, Somalia, along with Bradley armored personnel carriers, for use in the October 2, 1993, raid to capture lieutenants of Mohamed Farrah Aidid. The request was turned down by then Secretary of Defense Les Aspin and President Bill Clinton. The result was Blackhawk Down and the needless death of eighteen of America's finest.

So 100-1 or more casualties and success of the US mission is the Iraqi military plan? LOL.

Don't you find it fascinating - -
Sworn enemies of the United States of America use Hollyweed movies to instruct and inspire their troops.
The 9/11 attacks were believed to be partially inspired by Hollyweeed movies.
Now Hollyweed actors are joining the enemies and attempting to demoralize our fight in Iraq.
Going to the movies tonight?
(Don't get me wrong, BHD is one of my favorite flicks, and I mean nothing negative about the movie itself.)

IRAQI commanders reportedly circulated copies of the movie Black Hawk Down before the war in Iraq as a manual to defeat the Americans. Since one of the primary principles of warfare is "Command & Control" the enemy apparantly didn't study the recent transition of that C&C since the treasonous, rapist, impeached - former POTUS is no longer the commander and chief.
I think this point should be made again and again. "OBL, Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi commanders took their cue on America's weakness stemming from x42's failed leadership as an indication that America was weak and vulnerable." I appreciate their making the point that I have been making since 9/11/01 - This is Clinton's Legacy!

TS

Its Carter's legacy too. The time & place for an invasion was Iran in '79.
To: The Shrew
You have it exactly right. As a nation, we too learned the lesson of Black Hawk Down and got rid of the spineless, inattentive Commander in Chief. News flash for Saddam, Bill Clinton and his ilk are no longer in charge.
