Vietnamese March for U.S. Troops

Vietnamese-Americans came out to support President Bush for Iraq war in Little Saigon.

More than 1,000 Vietnamese immigrants in Northern California and hundreds more in Southern California took to the streets recently to march in support of the war.

California is home to the largest Vietnamese population outside Vietnam, 500,000 strong, according to the 2000 Census. Vietnamese language media like San Jose weekly Viet Merc and the bilingual web portal Kicon.com reported that Vietnamese immigrants have taken to the streets, complete with red, white and blue flags as well as the yellow ones with three red stripes, the flag of the erstwhile South Vietnam. Many participants of these marches are veterans of the army of the Republic of Vietnam, who have resettled in the United States following years of re-education camp imprisonment after the fall of the U.S.-backed government.

The American Vietnamese Republican Assembly of Orange County took part in several rallies to support the troops including a rally at the Oscars, reports its president Bach Lien Tran Batdorf. The Vietnamese immigrant community has traditionally been a supporter of the Republican Party, based on the thinking that the GOP was more anti-Communist than the Democratic Party.

My former roommate, who fled from Communist Vietnam to the United States in 1974, cannot believe that we have those serving in government official capacities, such as our FBI, and the U.S. Presidency, as well as our public universities, embracing commmunists and communism with great zeal. She views commmunists as criminals who will kill with no conscience and unless you have money to buy yourself out of distress or possibly being killed by these criminals, you are doomed. She thinks anybody that embraces communist ideals are crazy.

I watched that Michael Moore make a complete ass of himself at the Oscars ceremony.

It's over for the New Left (the "revised" Old Leftover) commies..and it's over for Michael Moore.

The decent ones that escaped the communist hell tend to be industrious and virtuous people. They make some of us look like slackers. I've read that there are now more property owners in Orange County with the name "Nguyen" than "Smith."

There was a fair sized group of Vietnamese at the San Diego Rally today and a small group of vocal Assyrians supporting our troops and President Bush.

I work with many Vietnamese people.

I work with 4. They all hate communism, and they don't think much of Saddam Hussein. I can't say as I do either.

...Our Country can LEARN a lot from these Freedom-Loving People...

...especially in Time of War...

...with an Enemy that is now...

...just around the Corner and...

...up your street..?
