This one should have been tagged with a "barf alert." What the idiot "writer" has completely ignored is that President Bush didn't start this fight, but he's working hard to finish it. I've written a rant for a month now about this topic and put it on my own site at
It Didn't Start Last Night. Those who aren't tired of hearing it can check it there. Once one realizes that her premise is nonsense, the rest of this prattle falls on its back.

That's an awful lot of psycho-babble just to make one invalid point.

You are so right! The world inhabited by the NYT may as well be Pluto. They have no relevance to the vast majority of the US, and we ought to be much more vocal in letting them know that they do not speak for any part of this great country except their tiny liberal enclaves on the east and west coasts.
Their time has passed.

"All hat, no cattle." If you are referring to the President you are just plain wrong, if to the writer, you are correct.

I'm sure Susan met a lot of cowboys during her stints at the Harvard Crimson, New York Times (copy clerk), Miami Herald, Atlanta J-C and the San Jose Mercury News. Oh, and the San Francisco bureau of the Wall Street Journal...lots of guys in chaps in S.F. (Check out her bio at Encylopedia Britannica's "Women in American History"...says it all.)
Those who believe Susan knows cowboys must also admire the military genius of the French and moral superiority of the Germans.

They know that these evil cattle must be removed at virtually all costs. Perhaps these are the cowboys after whom President Bush has modeled himself. I like that kind of cowboy!

Sorry about the double post!
Ping!

So, they tried to ridicule him by calling him a "cowboy," and that backfired because the American people kinda like cowboys. So, now the new line is he's not a cowboy. At least liberals have, uh, flexible minds.
Chuckle - chuckle - lol - LOL - ROFL --- you nailed it this time - again... lol

Dear Susan,
In regards to your assertion that President Bush in not a "real" cowboy: Well, Duh!!! How many "real" cowboys graduated from Yale, Received an MBA from Harvard, and flew jets, rather than riding horses.
You really do need to get a life...
