Saddam's BodyGuard not with Saddam
Fox News
Posted on 03/29/2003 6:56:58 PM PST by microgood
Fox has reported twice since I have been watching that intelligence experts are perplexed by the fact that Saddam's BodyGuard that has not left his side for 15 years is not at Saddam's side, but with the Defense and Information Ministers in a Press Conference. Interesting.

Torie Clarke suggested or hinted that Saddam was dead today in the pentagon news briefing. She said something about Saddam waking up (if he could wake up) to discover he was losing control of his country. She mentioned one other time that he could be in the past tense.

As well as the bodyguard thing, how about the removal of the painting of Insane?
In all the intial briefings by the Infotainment Minister there was a painting (print?) of Saddam in the background. Now, there is no painting. (Of course, it could have been dropped in a quagmire on the way to the briefing. HA!)

What if......
The Iraqis purposely put him there to confuse us, and we purposely pointed him out to confuse them.....

Saddam's body guard is not with him, as Saddam is resting in pieces.
As is Bin Laden.

Logic Games. All boars are pigs. But not all pigs are boars.
They say that this bodyguard never guarded anybody BUT Saddam. But they did NOT say that Saddam never had anybody OTHER than that bodyguard. Saddam may have had multiple bodyguards dedicated to him and him only. But this particular one may have been off-duty the night of the bunker bombing.
And maybe, due to some kind of full-employment policy in the Baathist party - he got another job guarding the next pinhead down the succession line...until the next bunker-buster retirement event.

no, that is a good thought.
consider this scenario also: we did this. he won't take exile publicly at the hands of the americans. so we "stage" his death in that decapitation strike, but in reality, he is in our "witness protection" program, already outside the country. he gets to live free with a new face and billions of dollars, and we don't hit with his WMD.

The way I see it, if the USA knew he was dead, that would put that out. Reporters and speculators always saying that the civilians will come to our side when they feel sure there will be no reprisal for their uprising. Iraq will fall when it his known that Saddam is dead.

"personally, I think he's dead." I'm inclined to agree, but if that is the case, who would know that for certain that is alive to tell about it. I mean, what are the chances that a bomb that took out Saddam in his bunker left anyone alive that was in close proximity to him? Which gets us back where we started...how can the bodyguard be explained? IF he was ALWAYS with Saddam and IF Saddam is toast, then why is he alive and healthy? And if he wasn't with Saddam, why wasn't he? Maybe this guy isn't who we think he is, but just another "stunt man" double. Or maybe WE are the ones playing some serious psy-ops games with them. In any case, I suspect our guys know WAY more than they're telling.

Speaking of dying:
These two folks need to miss their next presser. Would be nicer if they could be seen in several parts of the building at the same time. An arm here, leg there... Their absence would be a great psyops blow.

The place we bombed was probably a highly secure and well hidden military facility. (yes I know it was under a civilian house) If all the other military folks were there, maybe there was no need for a bodyguard at that place.
Keep in mind that the bombing was done very early in the morning before sunrise. Even bodyguards have to sleep, and it is likely that he doesn't actually sleep with Sadam. (Sadam's goat would get jealous.)

Those ministers you see on Fox, sure are a cocky bunch. Do they know something we don't?

If we know he is dead, how do we benefit by not saying it. If we think he is alive, we keep bombing Baghdad. Shep on Fox just said, Baghdad will fall from within first. We are still bombing so he has not dead.
