Hubby is a fishing fanatic. He has told me that he will not be going to Canada fishing this year (usually spends in the thousands to go) --Michigan has some wonderful fishing spots... ;-)

I had a nice chat with a Canadian lady down in Waikiki last weekend. A shopkeeper had asked her where she was from (they like to ask all tourists that) and the woman said, "I'm a bit ashamed to admit it right now, but Canada."

I would hope that any company or individual planning a trip to Canada or ordering any product from Canada to please reevaluate their choice.....Canada has not supported us in our hour of need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shut down all auto manufacturing plants in Canada and auto part manufacturing in Canada.....Shut down completely and close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are correct. SW Missouri and Arkansas lakes are better fisheries, but the big lake is stocked with striper bass. Best place to find em is Ha-Ha-Tonka cove, where a large cold water spring empties into the lake. Net your shad, and bring eight-ten pound line.

SARS might have something to do with this, too...

Many of us have already taken a deep breath, and decided that until the people of Canada hold thier government responsible for its actions, we will help provide them with the motivation to do so.

"...Go to Alberta..."

Last I heard, Alberta was still a province of Canada.
Unless there was some REALLY big news
that I somehow missed out on.

I wonder... will the US stop buying those marine LAV's(the vehicle of choice in the current war) from the canucks??
Just a thought.

Look, we well know that not all Canadians are against us. But when you are traveling, you don't want to go to a place that is overwhelmingly anti-American. Yes, there are those who are not, but there are many more who are.
I'm all for people traveling to Alberta but east coast businesses are unlikely to do that.
I spent 4 years working up in Canada, from New Brunswick to Calgary and many points in between. I love western Canada, the only difference I saw between Calgary and Phoenix was that the cowboys didn't have tans and the pickup trucks didn't have gun racks. Montreal, on the otherhand was anti-American even back in the late 80's. It's a cesspit now.
When polls of the Canadian people show they are overwhelmingly against the US you can hardly expect us to spend our hard earned vacation dollars there when we can go to a place where we won't be accosted, our president won't be smeared, and we won't be insulted.

I was reading your post, and it struck me how much I love VA.
Just in my bones, I guess - but I can't imagine a better place to live.
Every time I drive out to Shanandoah, I find it harder and harder to leave...

I certainly hope so, and soon.
If it can be manufactured in Canada, it can be manufactured better here.
Which reminds me, I have not yet contacted my Senator this week.

Yeah, maybe the French tourists will take up the slack for the loss of American tourist dollars. Ummm, that is, if they have the dollars to travel after this is all over.
To: Lorenb420
Bill O'R stated to some French jerk apologist the other night that he was cancelling a vacation to Quebec. I guess Bill's viewers were listening.
It's too bad that innocent business people in Canada will suffer. It's also too bad that innocent civilians in Iraq will suffer.
Wake up, O'Canada, this is what happens in war!
You'll have a chance in your next election to show us how you feel about America.
In the meantime, start concentrating on your political leaders rather than your hockey stars.
