There was a good question about the personal bodyguard.

If he was always with Saddam, why wasn't he killed if as we specualate, Saddam was.

I doubt the guard would be with Saddam if he was in discussion with his sons within a bunker chamber. The guard might have been at the door of the chamber but would not be privy to the discussion. Saddam trusts no one.
