Anti ship missiles are usually fired from land to take out ships. The modern equivalent of a shore battery.

"If Wolf Blitzer was a real reporter, he would have jumped into a car and raced to the scene. Newsmen used to do that sort of thing. "
I don't know of anyone who would be willing to give a ride to a guy with a fresh pantload of $#!t....

Do they just lob something like that or is it guided in some way? I'm asking - do they aim at the Mall or just somewhere in Kuwait City? If it is aimed at mall then I would surmise it is AQ.

Now since they have it right they can shot a chem/bio warhead right to Israel.I don't think they have the range. Correct me if I'm wrong.
But this was most definitely a test to find the right approach to slip under the radar. Sadly they found it.

Do we have satellite coverage that would tell us where the missile was launched?
To: aristeides
There was a Silkworm facility at UM Qasar. Thats my bet. I dont know who could have fired it however.

Thank God the mall was hit at night, not during the day when it would be packed.

The only missiles I knew of that could reach Israel were Scuds. Perhaps they modified some new missile the Ruskies sold them. Puzzling...

Fox newsman on the scene reporting explosion at a theater, possibly a car explosion from a parking garage under the theater. Not much else at this time except he came upon a piece of metal, yellow and silver, possibly part of a car.
