Rally for America Greenville Braves Stadium - Greenville, SC Sunday – March 30, 2003; 2 - 4PM

Organized locally by Clear Channel Radio of Greenville, Rally for America is a non-political, patriotic event designed as a show of support for our troops and families. We want our brave men and women in uniform to know regardless of whether we agree or disagree with war, we all stand behind them and their loved ones.

This rally will feature an uplifting ceremony with participation by Major General Baiden (USAR Ret.), Congressmen J. Gresham Barrett, The Boy and Girl Scouts of the Upstate, The Laurens High School ROTC Color Guard, and more, including a children’s choir to lead us in our National Anthem and music by the Greenville Seniors Band.

The event is open to the public and admission is FREE. The rally will be from 2-4PM with gates opening at 1PM. Everyone’s patriotic spirit is welcomed, and everyone is encouraged to bring his or her own flags or posters. We will join together in sending off a giant biodegradable balloon release in support of our troops.

Expected attendance is 5,000 people.

Clear Channel Radio and Greenville Braves Stadium and their staffs are working together to host, organize and promote this event. We are also thankful for the underwriting support of Thrifty Car Rental and Our Local Chevy Dealers.

Please post an after action report with photos if possible. We are compiling the photos for a CD Tribute, and keeping a running list of pro-Troop events for media exposure.

Please ping A Navy Vet, Bob J, and diotima. Thank you.
